Hey, guys. I used to play here like 2-3 years ago, and sometimes I keep looking how things're going here, and frankly I'm not impressed. Server online is so low, and it doesn't seem to increase at all. Has anyone thought of solving this problem? Perhaps there're some reasons for it, like broken economy, cheaters and/or simply players having too much money so that trader-pirate-policeman scheme doesn't work.

I think Disco could use relaunch, with complete wipe, including all RP positions, etc. Server doesn't seem to have much online to lose, does it?

I remember this place 3 years ago, 5 years ago and it was... well, like much more fun. And I miss it, I miss lots of both pvp and fairly creative RP (especially compared to what remains of RP here), and I think making some change wouldn't hurt for the future of this server - and of course for its community.

What's wrong with wipes? And what could be other problems (put that "too old game" nonsense out, please - FL was already "too old" in 2009, but server was doing pretty well)?

Sure, wipe the game. Watch as people just leave because no one will want to invest that much time into playing again.

The thing is, people are leaving already. And broken economy isn't going to make them play, don't you see? How do you keep high online without traders? Scheduled events even with old style large factions (at least 6 ppl per side) won't contribute much to regular online. Perhaps you got better ideas.
I'm not here to blame anyone, but I'd love Disco to live once again.

A wipe would kill off the server, i personally would not start over and would be gone for good.

Sir, you and all the other players who seem plagued with nostalgia might be better served looking for a server that suits your needs. I understand there might even be a 4.85 server out there somewhere. If not, perhaps you could start up your own and make it as attractive to as many players as you can.

We are not, however, going to wipe our server and start from scratch.

There needs to be real money sinks for trader-criminal-lawful cycle to go on. Tried proposing some stuff, got shut down quickly with no other ideas thrown into the open.

Agonizing? What is a server wipe going to solve? I have a few years invested here ad a couple POBs. I trade all the time and all over the systems. Server wipe would not cause me to stay, only reason some of us are still here is because of the time and assets we have. Server wipe might not bother new players but if you think i will have the desire to play after a wipe your mad. What would be the point, lets see i want to work and trade from the beginning again just so it could be wiped again someday, there would be no point, Why would anyone work towards making money for anything if there is a chance it could be gone at someone's whim to wipe the server again sometime? You think it is low now, wipe the server and i am sure it will be dead completely.

This server is advertised everywhere and developed by this community, and I'm actually part of this community. I don't want to play on some Russian server, test server or something else, it won't progress as well, it won't attract people as much as main server.
On the other hand, seeing admins who tell me to turn around and look for some other place to play at is just as dissappointing, sorry, man. Do you have any plans for the server, or you perceive things to be fine here?

@ RIP Wipes happened before, and they didn't seem to change much. What's the point of spending money for bases, if you can't interact with large factions of players?
