Can a bounty hunter gunship be used as a pirate / terrorist vessel?...

Just wondering wheether a BH Gunship is allowed to be used as a general pirate/terrorist vessel. I'm not even sure what ID would go. I expect a corsair ID.

My general thinking is that the BH Gunship belongs to the BHs and according to the BH ID they are not allowed to engage in unlawful acts, so i think the BH Gunship is not allowed to engage in piracy either? (since it would not be sold to pirates) is that correct?


besides BH Gunship, what other vessels can a
a) pirate ID; or
b) terrorist id (red hessians, rogues, golde cs etc) use?

sorry, but pls help this noobie -- any links wlecome -- im also trying to go back to find the stuff on this in the rules.

if i recall correctly, the merc id can onlybe used for lawful purposes but the ship thats needed here is something that can be used for piracy and unlawful purposes without any system restrictions.... not sure if it is possible...

im thinking of rping a general blackbeard character running everywhere and getting shot at and .. demanding cargo and stuff....

No, its not possible, if you want to keep in RP. You will be hated both by lawfulls and unlawfulls if you will pirate in BH GS. Not even great story can change that. And about Terrorist...if you mean the "generic" Terrorist ID granted by Admins, then yeah, its kind of allowed to use all the ships on the server... But other than that...no.

Can I ask why do you want to be pirate in BHG vessel?

Yes Merc ID can be used for unlawful Merc, but BH GS can never be used as unlawful ship.

First off Lupsy, thank you for coming and asking questions before doing something. Elvin and Tic have a point a pirate in a BH Gunship is "generally" a no go. Everyone will hate you and you will get sanctioned unless you use (and get approved) the new Special RP Forum. That I am guessing is a little beyond you right now. There however are plenty of options available to you if you want to pirate cargo. Every Pirate faction has a gunboat class vessel available. Corsairs have the Corsair Gunboat. Hackers have the Hacker Gunship. The list goes on and on. If you want to pirate make sure you get the ID first though and then buy the ship you want. My suggestion is once you pick the NPC faction you want to join talk with another member of that faction (In game) and talk about what you want. If it's Corsair your looking at, keep an eye out for Conan. I'll give you a hand.

um well i wanted to play a blackbeard and a blackbeard chaacter is a loner whose name is sort of feared as a ship by those who encounter him alone. however, he will generally chicken out if military shiops etc are about. ie: sort of a true pirate but who is also somewhat of a reckless murderer. (not a gentleman pirate) - so he has to have some sort of murderish tendencies. possibly phantomish id type.

but blackbeard is a loner so well yea he travels aroudn a lot until he is chased away / sunk.

so.. still not sure what ship is allowable. ill try to recheck merc id (i dont think there is a description for this in the rules section of forums).

You seem to be confused about the IDs. You don't need any of the IDs your thinking about (Terrorist, Phantom) all you really need is a Generic Pirate ID or a Faction ID such as Corsair or Outcast.

You're quite mistaken here. My merc takes contracts from Non lawful forces far more frequently than lawful ones.

the BG GS is a lawful ship however. Use -only- (or should be) by bounty hunters. It is also rather an unbalenced ship right now.

i think generic pirate id is ok except the generic pirate id must ask for ransom first all the time. im thinking blackbeard sometimes just kills for pleasure.

the faction id such as outcast or say wild -- i think they are restricted in system travel. whereas blackbeard likes to think he can go anywhere.

blackbeard may not be a possible character to play - which may be intended...
