Try Windows Repair. Winodws Update sucks anyway. I installed Windows XP with SP3 and I havn't updated it in a very very long time, and have had no problem at all.:)

QuickTime however I cannot explain. But a quick Windows repair should do the trick. :nyam:

And change the sub-title of the topic. The dreaded Astrix's have been looked down upon in recent weeks on these boards.

At least they work every now and again. And its the safest user friendly way to semi-fix your windows installation without loosing any data.:P

It's a Microsoft game, so... no. Not unless you happen to install XP on it as well.

Heh.. let me tell you what happened, your computer automatically installed SP3 for you. Don't install SP3, it destroys computers.

Sorry Blodo, SP3 is pretty nice. We have installed it on about 200 department machines at work without a hitch.... not one has not accepted it. Even the REALLY crappy ones. Just do a re-install, you will be fine. As for going over to a mac.... don't waiste your money.
