Battleship Myoko - 2nd Home Fleet "Sekigahara"-class Tokugawa Status:Active
Battleship Myoko in close proximity to Deshima
Basic overview & estimated combat effectiveness:
Battleship Myoko is the last Battleship of the venerable "Sekigahara"-class, the very first Tokugawa hull class produced by Samura Heavy Industries which no longer was considered to be a prototype. The exact date of her maiden flight is long lost to the steady tides of time, however internal records date the Myoko to have been in active service since the 350s AS.
Repeatedly refitted and upgraded in recent decades, the Myoko remains a mighty vessel. However, Admiralty deems it unwise to deploy the Myoko directly against hostile warships, thus rendering her primary a support vessel to the rest of her Battlegroup. Since 834 A.S. the Myoko serves as integral part of Fort Ainoura's training facilities and thus remains in direct vicinity of Planet Junyo.
Escorting vessels:*
Due to her venerable nature, the Myoko requires an atypical set of escorting vessels.
6x Komainu-class Battlecruisers
4x Takeda-class Destroyers
40x Ashikaga-class Gunboats
Approx. 40 Bomber crafts
Approx. 85 Snubcrafts of variable sizes

Battleship Sado - 3rd Home Fleet "Bakumatsu"-class Tokugawa (Refit) Status:Active
Battleship Sado, Tohoku
Basic overview and assigned task:
Battleship Sado belongs to the rare "Bakumatsu"-class, the prototype class whose successor became the effective "Genji"-class. While hardly as refined as "Genji"-class vessels such as the Nagasaki, the Sado already offers significantly improved all-rounder qualities compared to its predecessors of the "Awa"-class.
The Sado and her group were dispatched to the Tohoku system to prevent our forces on Heaven's Gate from being overrun by Blood Dragons. The lack of any significant strikes against the station since the assassination of Governor Tekagi stood as continuous tribute to the effectiveness of the Sado's ongoing operation up to the Saigon War requiring most of its escort forces in 825 A.S to be relocated. The vessel was severely damaged by a Blood Dragon strike later that year and has been reactivated with extensive repairs and modernizations mid-835 to relieve the IKN-Hamamatsu in Honshu.
Escorting vessels:*
The escort force of the Sado is significantly smaller than of other fleets. As a consequence of the H-NGD being merged into the Tohoku Special Operation Zone, the refitted IKN-Sado entered service in Honshu with many of its old escorting vessels still assigned to its former guarding post.
3x Komainu-class Battlecruisers
6x Takeda-class Destroyers
25x Ashikaga-class Gunboats
Approx. 30 Bomber crafts
Approx. 60 Snubcrafts of variable sizes

Battleship "Hirado", 8th Major Fleet Experimental "Heisei"-class Tokugawa Status:In Construction
Battleship "Hirado", in construction at Kure Shipyard
Basic overview and assigned task:
The newest "Heisei"-class vessel is still undergoing construction. Currently labelled "Hirado", the vessel is yet to be officially named.
The "Heisei"-class vessel is supposed to build the bridge between the Matsumoto's extremely sturdy but slow, and the Hamamatsu's swift offensive nature. Utilizing combat data gathered by both vessels during the second Kusari-Gallic war, the "Hirado" could become the symbol of a new age of capital warfare if the design is successful.
A current case study is underway through the IKN-Nagato as prototype study for this particular shipclass.
Escorting vessels:*
The escort force of the new "Heisei"-class is yet to be determined, however Admiralty plans to convert the 8th Major Fleet into the most sizeable of Kusari if the design proves to be promising.

Battleship Nagasaki, 5th Major Fleet "Genji"-class Tokugawa Status:Active
Battleship Nagasaki in proximity of the Tsushima junction
Basic overview and assigned task:
Battleship Nagasaki has a long and colorful service, reaching from the defense of New Tokyo against Rheinland during the Nomad war, over the push into Leeds, to being the flagship of the exiled forces, up to the recent vengeful invasion of Gallia. Possessing a battle-hardened and one of Sirius' most experienced crews, in additional to several refits and upgrades over the years, renders the Nagasaki one of the most valuable assets to the Naval Forces. Following the Gallic campaign, the Nagasaki and her escorts were assigned to act as peacekeeping force in Kyushu until a relocation order was given, sending the Naval Forces' symbol of perseverance to its southern border with Liberty.
Escorting vessels:*
The Nagasaki mostly retained the pre-Battlecruiser era escort structure and is accompanied by Kusari's largest Destroyer group. Its battlegroup was bolstered following its reassignment to Shikoku and also marks the first addition of Ikazuchi-class Tactical Destroyers to the battlefield.
3x Komainu-class Battlecruiser
36x Takeda-class Destroyers
6x Ikazuchi-class Tactical Destroyers
90x Ashikaga-class Gunboat

Battleship Matsumoto, 1st Major Fleet "Genji"-class Tokugawa (Refitted) Status:Active
Battleship Matsumoto standing guard over the Misaki junction
Basic overview and assigned task:
Battleship Matsumoto is a refitted vessel of the "Genji"-class, unlike the Nagasaki, the Matsumoto was modified to suffer but also deal extreme amounts of damage. Following the successful campaign in Gallia, the Matsumoto zealously guarded the recaptured system of Rishiri against criminals and Gallic forces alike until its abandonment by Kusari. Currently residing at the Ichigaya Drydock, the venerable Matsumoto is set to receive the same modifications as the Bretonian Battleship Somerset.
Escorting vessels:*
The Matsumoto possesses a considerable amount of smaller escort vessels, as the vessel does not require as much heavy fire support as other Tokugawa-classes.
3x Komainu-class Battlecruiser
8x Takeda-class Destroyers
65x Ashikaga-class Gunboat
Approx. 50 Bomber crafts
Approx. 110 Snubcrafts of various sizes

Battleship Hamamatsu, 7th Major Fleet "Showa"-class Tokugawa Status:Active
Battleship Hamamatsu in close orbit of Planet Honshu
Basic overview and assigned task:
The Battleship Hamamatsu is the newest entry to the Naval Forces currently in service. This "Showa"-class vessel is focused entirely on aggressive warfare, hindering it from efficiently conducting passive operations during peace times. While the design proved to be most effective against Gallic forces, its peacekeeping operation in Honshu performed below average and with the reactivation of the IKN-Sado, the Hamamatsu was relocated to the orbit of Planet New Tokyo. Both as a guardian to the Capitol and a clear signal towards the diplomatic staff of the other great Houses residing on the nearby Liner Akasaka.
Escorting vessels:*
The Hamamatsu is accompanied by an escort force tailored for swift and aggressive strikes against hostile warships and installations. This includes a significantly higher number of bomber crafts.
2x Komainu-class Battlecruiser
28x Takeda-class Destroyers
42x Ashikaga-class Gunboat
Approx. 110 Bomber crafts
Approx. 50 Snubcrafts of various sizes

Battlecruiser Akatsuki is one of the first of its class, originally a part of the Nagumo and later the Nagasaki Battlegroup, the Akatsuki was assigned to the Kusari Office of Intelligence following the end of the civil war. Together with a token escort force, the vessel became Kusari's eyes and ears in Gallic Enclave space. Following its return to the Naval Forces and the conclusion of the Gallic campaign, the Akatsuki acts as a mobile squadron keeping tabs on any activity within the Tau Sector; Gallic, Outcast or even Libertorian.
Escorting vessels:*
The Akatsuki is accompanied by a small strike force only in order to maintain a maximum of flexibility.
2x Takeda-class Destroyers
12x Ashikaga-class Gunboat
Approx. 15 Bomber crafts
Approx. 30 Snubcrafts of various sizes
