Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

Run CCleaner, both junk and registry.

Run Anti-Malware Full Scan.

Happens to me too, but not always. When I open discoverygc.com an ad appears.

There is no ads on www.discoverygc.com . You can easily check this via downloading ADBlock for your PC and see under "Ads blocked on this site".

ADBlock and SiteAnalyzer say there is 0 ads on this domain. So there is none.

Generally it is the app, adding ads clientside yeah. You will recognize the foreign ads by the text on bottom right "Ads not by this site" or "Ads by AdCompany"...
