Best Skype Version? (What version do the community prefer to use?)

This thing software keeps bloody crashing on me and although I found a fix in for the last version, this recent update doesn't want to cooperate.
Can anyone recommend a suitable downgrade?
- be tolerant, ok?
- tolerance is for the weak

The best skype version would be the no skype version, but I'd let it go due disco and few other reasons. MS totally screwed it, whatever MS get their hands on, becomes garbage.

No Skype version. I've stopped using it some time ago first because they have blocked it for Win XP users and second that it is a very badly optimized software. Uninstalled it years ago and now my PC is running better.

I dont use skype because is too old-fashioned . But i highly prefer to use smoke signals and postal doves because they are one of the leading edge technologies and they are cheap hah.

i accidently let skype update, tried to uninstall and use a lesser version, but it then said i didnt have an account so im stuck with this new shi....crap version, is there a way to roll back uninstall and make it work?
