The more players the more lag the server gets. The Max used to be 128, but then some excellent programmers over at Hamburg City wrote a program to work around it. So it has been raised a few times since then, but it is hard to tell what is a safe number of players for the server. We dont really hit max capacity, so there is no reason to mess around with it at this point.
a few weeks ago (during the summer holidays), i wasn't able to log in, because there were 200 people online. though this was only a short period. this game isn't made to house lots of players (since it isn't a mmog), so 200 people is quite a lot allready. I think if more would join, the game won't function as good as it does now. Serverload will probably also be too much to handle.
FLserver is designed to run 128 players, that's it. A crack makes it run any amount we like, however the server cries and falls over every ten seconds if we try for anymore than 200
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
Tho it would be pretty cool if the server could hold up 300 or so.
As long as they was spread out and using all the systems and not all in one place like Sigma 13, new york or what-not.
But i find when the server has 150 on, where i go its populated, and so i can have fun, which is the whole point ^^
