Domina’s Demons

Tag: Demon|
ID: Corsair ID
IFF: Corsair IFF

Origin:

In early-8th century A.S., Ageira Technologies began the development of cybernetic neural implants for military application, designed to enhance memory and combat proficiency. A second implant design was created for life-sentenced prisoners, effectively turning them into slaves. Experimentation with implants went smoothly, until subjects’ bodies began to shut down after increased nervous system activity. The only solution was a brain transplant from the organic body to a cybernetic one; within a short amount of time, the blueprint for a capable cybernetic body was developed.

Meanwhile, a scientist within Ageira went rogue and copied implant blueprints. With the help of her family’s ties to the Lane Hackers, Attia Domina worked in the confinement of a stolen prison liner in Humboldt. After months of testing on abducted Bounty Hunters and Navy pilots, Domina successfully created an implant with the combined effects of the Ageira-developed military and prison implants. This implant also synchronized with a parent implant, directing the motives of those who garner the child implant.

In 749 A.S., Ageira finished development on the “Orchestra,” Sirius’s first-known cybernetic body. Being informed on the plans for transporting the first stable Orchestra build to Alaska, Domina arranged a heist with the Lane Hackers to confiscate it from Ageira. The heist was successful, isolating the heavily armed cruiser containing the Orchestra from escorting forces. Liberty’s forces were baffled, no trace of it was left, and Domina was on her way with the cargo to the Omegas long before republic blockades were issued.

Contact between the Domina family and the Lane Hackers was surely lost. Domina had gotten hold of Corsair contacts within Bretonia. She arranged a treaty between her family, who escaped to the Omegas prior to her heist, and the Corsairs; the Domina family would be responsible for resource supply in the Omegas, along with the added gift of fresh blood, regularly; in return, the Dominas received protection for their interests in the Omegas.

The Dominas got to work - Attia and her father Carlisle studied the Orchestra blueprint and took apart the mechanism piece by piece until they understood the utility of every connection and device. All members of the Domina family gave themselves “Vinculum” master-class implants. After some time, the oldest son Dominic and sister Meryl worked with a generations-old alliance led by Ruby Rose to capture fit and physically able pilots from the Bounty Hunters, Red Hessians, and Armed forces, sedating them and bringing them back to where they were processed - their brains removed from their bodies, transferred to modified-Orchestra units, and given Domina’s “Flagellum” slave-class implants.

The Corsairs were very surprised to receive a massive shipment of headless Bounty Hunter and prisoner corpses within the next month. Attia disclosed her plans to secure the interests of her family and the Corsairs within the Omegas, revealing her army of perfect, deadly cybernetic-human slaves. Skeptical, the Corsairs kept a close watch on the Dominas, but their cause proved to be genuine. Shipments arrived in exponentially increasing numbers by the day, and Hunter activity in the Omegas dwindled.

The Dominas later came into contact with the Junker Congress, establishing a contract of which both parties could benefit from; the Dominas would ensure safe passage and security in the Omegas and Omicrons, while the Junkers would manufacture and transport parts vital to the construction of Orchestra units to Domina bases.

Present Day:

The Dominas rule a vast army of cybernetic soldiers, motivated to smuggle cargo and use lethal force to kill or capture enemies of the family. They have proven themselves as allies of the Empire, and provide fresh bodies daily to Crete. The Dominas themselves have converted to cybernetic forms, thus also garnering combat implants. Their dream is to rule the underworld of Sirius, supporting the criminal enterprise established by the Corsairs and related criminal entities. The Dominas have named their region “Valeria,” after Attia’s late mother.

Those who are recruited instead of captured forcefully are given modified Flagellum implants - their memories and combat abilities are enhanced, but maintain their free will. However, they still receive orders and motive directions from the Dominas, and are unable to act against them. This is a one-way street; there is no turning back from the Dominas. It’s possible for the removal of an implant by a third-party, although this is not recommended as the pilot will suffer immediate, severe depression resulting from feelings of betrayal, followed by the mind’s painful journey into a vegetable state.

A proletariat criminal military under the authority of the Domina family. All occupants are the result of advanced neural repathing and cybernetic exploitation, and reside within the underbelly of Sirius. Glorified by the festivities of illegal 9th century A.S. research and criminal enterprise. The family’s GDP is produced through the cooperation with criminal entities, and the exploitation of any and all criminal actions taken against each of the five houses. The only requirement for entry is a single promise - true devotion to the Dominas.

You should probably read the Corsair laws. Slaves (and quite a few other types of human cargo) are forbidden in Corsair space. Also someone whose family has ties to the Lane Hackers is probably unlikely to work for Ageira very long - if at all. Just some thoughts I had while reading over it.

Junkers Congress contact? Is it actually document on the forum?
Bounty Hunter activity decreasing in the Omegas? Hah, I don't think so, especially when they have a base in Saar and various contractors with interest in the region.

Also, considering you want to control the Omegas and Cayman: Where are the Hessians on your diplomacy? Where are the RoS on your diplomacy? Where is The Core on your diplomacy?

It depends.

If the ties are secret, then I do not see a problem. If the ties are public, everyone close to the family is going to be interrogated and even if the interrogation does not provide any meaningful results, that person is likely going to be monitored for the rest of their lives + of course not being able to work anywhere near Ageira or somewhere which has to do with classified information.

Caramba! I hope you are very very nice pals and will not take it personally, but I will not cooperate with Sathanus, Belzebub, Lucifer... or any other demons. I will not promote any religion and I will not involve in any Satanic ideas as well. I know it's a game, but that's exactly why it should not hurt anyone's religious feelings.

Maybe you should reconsider moving to Outcasts - if you deal with slavers and your pilots are altered to fly better. Corsairs do not do that. They are altered to long siestas and other kinds of life in desert. I'd be glad to help anyone who'd start Fremen faction on Crete (swift, quiet and dangerous sand people), but that seems not to be you.

And why would anyone distribute decapitated bodies to Crete? Corsairs don't eat human flesh for 800 years. They use that part of lore to scare their enemies, that's all. They don't even know if it was true. And baby burrito is just small burrito. It's beef and vegetables inside.

Please, anyone who would like to make a Sair faction in the future - just contact me, or any of Elders first. There is enough space for another faction and it's our job to help.

Santa Muerte bless us all,
Pepe

True.

And I missread that section, my bad. So my Lane Hacker comment is rather irrelevant to begin with, nevermind.
