Well met, and welcome to Baffin and the Brunswick Shrine Service Station.

Tinker and Transport has rented about 90% of Brunswick's capacity and is opening a Service Station running under Freeport regulations and the Pentabarf rules for Baffin, open to all who wish to dock.
Pope Flinx from [TAZ] has agreed to coordinate both Freeport affairs and the TAZ pilgrim Shrine , and is trusted by Tinkers to answer any affairs of the base directly.

We wish to invite you all to our soon to be announced Opening Gala, and at the same time ask for cooperation for a special race event detailed below.

As the passenger hub at Brunswick Shrine in Baffin is nearing its completion, I have been planning a special event together with the bases Administrator, Pope Flinx. We wish to invite several celebrities and officials from all over Sirius to Baffin, and will ask a inter-sirius news broadcasting agency to cover it all. We will have a Gala Event at the Shrine, will ask for a grand tour of the Geode and Shasta Orbital Skyhook, and plan several other smaller events. But also we want to show that Baffin is a central place to meet and greet, and want to carry this message around Sirius.

And I mean that last part literally.

We plan to support a grand ralley race, open for several ship classes from single pilot racers to freighter class vessles up to liner class. Starting and ending port would be either Shasta Skyhook or the Shrine itself, and we plan to organize the race so that the contesting groups and pilots will have to pass stations in the Taus,perhaps even in Champagne, visite Planet Gran Canaria in Omega-49, pass the Freeports in the Omikrons and the Spa and Cruise Liners in the Sigmas and Nagano before returning to Baffin for their triumphant hello.

Tinker and Transport wishes to welcome all interested groups and cooperations to these events and at the same time askes for cooperation during the race.

Greetings,

I welcome your invitation but actually I am not sure I will attend.
The thing is the last I came to Baffin was really unpleasant.
To summarize it briefly: TAZ invited the zoners for a summit in Shasta. Then, as the summit was starting, The Order suddenly arrived and claimed TAZ was infected by nomads. As a result, in name of security, TAZ locked-down Shasta and prevented their guests to send or receive communications from outside of Shasta. I disagree with it and I had to threat TAZ to evade the station.

As far as I know, the problem between TAZ and The Order is still not solved. Maybe you have more information regarding this matter. If yes, please make it public. Actually, I don't want to participate to the event until I am certain I won't have to suffer from collateral damage of TAZ/Order conflict and be assured that I won't be exposed to some nomadic influence in case TAZ is truly infected.

Nevertheless, I wish you all the success for this event.

This is Flinx speaking,
Administrator of Brunswick Shrine and Pope of TAZ Church.

I would like to answer that all is nice and fluffy, but discord is strong in this Galaxy, and Sirius is no excemption to that.

I do not think that Order or TAZ seek reconciliation,and I understand why. I was at Shasta as the lockdown came,and I experienced the chaos firsthand.

I do not seek vengance or war, and I would be happy to return to normal. But Pentabarf was broken, violence was brought to holy ground.I can not ignore that, trust has been broken.

If others choose not to do the pilgrimage because of a threat, because Order deems us infected, I can not change that. I would let myself or my ship be scanned any time, and the same can be said about the shrine. But I will not bend to force, or sway from my belief.

I will greet anybody coming to the Shrine in peace. But as you do not know if you will be safe, I have no faith in Order any more. More and more as events unfolded I had to suspect that not duty brought Order to Baffin: If political intrigue and the lust for power winfect the just cause of Order, to whom could I turn for guidance, who could I trust to find sense or sanity ?

Show me the mediator able to unwind this gordic knot without cutting it in pieces. I pray to HER any day, and I enter the holy Geode often.

I respect your worries and share them to some extent, but I will neither bow down to house rule, nor to zealot force. That has been my vow since I entered the zones.
