Yup lads,

As the title says: What do you think about giving more d-mods for biggy caps? Lets say +1 or 2 for each BS/Carrier
Notice that I'm not speaking about PvP or gun buffs, but about possibility to carry more ships as not every faction has carriers with 3 or more docking modules and IMHO battleships are big enough to carry at least 2 snubs inside, really

Leave a simple YES / NO and opinion or comment. I will collect those votes in this post as something like a poll.
Feel free to discuss about it

I think bigger caps should have more docking modules. They have too little right now.

Normally I would be all for this idea, as I believe several others such as AFC, LH or even other snub based factions would be as well. The main problem I personally see is not server based..well kinda I guess it is. But mainly with the current server population, there is no major need to boost it (That's not to say I disagree)

I personally think if one would boost perhaps the naval carriers, they'd have more use to cloak into battle and unleash hidden swarms of snubs, but as it stands, the only real navy cap with that ability is the LN one, and it can launch only..4-5(?) while the civilian carrier can go up to 6.

What could really be cool to see actually is a special type of docking bay that only allows freighters to dock on it (READ THIS FULLY PLEASE!) for like smuggling factions. This in turn can turn the Bustard carrier into a useful ship that could jump small to medium smuggling freighters in and out quickly, though also run the risk of getting caught (Boosting a naval/police response..?) To find the freighters. I do understand that they could just jump with the bustard if it had the best JH, but say if it had only the Mk 1, then this would work in a way.

Personally I think there should perhaps be customisable Docking bay's later on in the game for such, perhaps like multi roll docking bays, instead of just allowing 1 snub, they allow 2 or 3, at the cost of extra production cost, time to build and storage space used on the player cap in question

Another personal thing I also though of would be stealth bay's. Upon launching from caps, player snubs are normally left to their own death in the middle of large combat. In the idea of a stealth bay, the snubs could launch with about 10 seconds of cloak before decloaking into battle (I'd imagine this would be rather hard to code however..)

This is my 2 cents, so I'd go with YES

Well this thread isn't about balancing their firepower, adding more light turrets or deleting them completely, it's about making them able to carry more ships inside, so please refer to it, not to throwing them to wastebin Smile

Edit: Shh the post has gone

I really doubt people would use them.. It make sense yet it has been a long time, i mean a VERY long time since i seen one that has been totally full.

The fact that there aren't that much snubs right now shouldn't limit the possibility to carry more vessels. After all capitals are 'big' and are able to carry much more than the current amount of snubs. And this possibility wouldn't hurt if added to the game
