Luxury Liner best loadout?

Currently have all Charons and a HAU3. Just seeing other people's recommendations.

I might be wrong, but as far as I remember CAU8s were restircted to capital ships not long ago. Might be wrong, but I remember people not being able to take off with their CAU8 transports.

That is odd, as I currently have a Renzu Liner and a Luxury Liner with Au8 , been flying it in the past OSC event without any trouble.

That is because it was put on hold due to the problems it was causing (along with Battleship Scanners) and since the Server/Forum roll back hasn't be re-implemented.

You should also never use HauIII. Its price is incorrectly balanced / bugged, going along with the others you would expect a price of 15-20 million, but it costs thirty.

This is a graph of the price total of different heavy armor upgrades. Of course the values for 7 and 8 stretch it a little, but you can see that it forms a smooth curve....smooth except for a small but noticeable bump where Hau III is.

This graph shows the price increase to the next armor upgrade as a factor of price. Generally hovering around 2.0, Hau III ruins this again as its price is a whopping 3.75 times what you pay for Hau II, while Hau IV costs merely 1.6 times as much.

Things are starting to get ridiculous now. This graph expresses the difference in the price increase to the next armor and the difference after that as a percentage of the current armor's cost.
Hau III of course is the only armor upgrade the price jump to which is actually higher than the one it follows, by both sum and factor.

Finally, if we express the difference between next price jump and the one following as above as a ratio of the next price jump, the true, terrifying nature of Hau III is revealed as it drags our graph all the way down to negative 550%.

tl;dr do not use Hau III, it's overpriced

Ya, the change was that snubs cannot use heavy and capital armor, and transports and capitals cannot use the universal armor upgrades. And since the server crash and rollback it was not put back yet, but it will. Unmount your uau8's from your transports and put a CAU6. Of course the CAU8 is better, but at the cost of almost 1 billion credits, in my humble opinion the cau6, at the cost of 192 millions 'only' is more cost-efficient.
