Dear Discovery,

Some claim that the end of Discovery is near.

I believe it is too far in the future to be worried about.

But I am not content to coast to an end, enjoying the remaining days while they last, resting easy with the memory of past enjoyments.

If this community one day hits a wall and ceases, then I say it should hit the wall at full throttle, all guns blazing.

The triumph of Discovery Freelancer is that it is more than a game, even more than a community of gamers. Discovery is a place where imagination and creativity are more important than game mechanics. Your role play is proof of that. I am not content merely to survive until the end. I believe this is a place that can find a way to thrive no matter the obstacles.

Further, I believe that the pursuit of excellence in play is just as valuable in life as the pursuit of excellence in work.

With these thoughts in mind, I offer these Articles of Faith in Discovery :

1. I believe that the solutions we can find together are greater than the problems we face.
2. I believe that the best method of role playing is flexible, adaptive, respectful of diverse opinions, inclusive of other participants, and cooperative.
3. I believe that role play that creates opportunities for the contributions of others builds community and increases enjoyment for everyone.
4. I believe that factions should devote themselves to purposes and activities that enliven their environment, encourage the participation of enemies and allies alike, and are welcoming to new players.
5. I believe that factions should support the life of the House or region in which they reside, and that Houses and regions should support the life of Discovery as a whole.
6. I believe that conflict is the beating heart of Discovery, but conflict should enrich opportunities for all sides rather than seek domination for its own sake.
7. I believe that sacrifices for the greater good are rewarded many times over by ensuring the continuation of the community.
8. I believe that we are here to have fun and stretch our imaginations, and united in that purpose we can overcome disagreements with good will, consensus, and faith in each other.
9. I believe that good sportsmanship is more valuable than winning, and that losing is merely an opportunity disguised as disappointment.
10. I believe that positivity outlasts and triumphs over negativity, because negativity ultimately cannibalizes itself.
11. I believe that implementing these articles as a player increases my enjoyment, strengthens my faction, and enlivens the Discovery Community.
12. Because of my belief in the ability of these articles to help players thrive, I believe that Discovery's best days are yet to come.

I hope Discovery be here for years and years , It's more then just a game for us , Most of us have other great Graphics games , new games but we still play discovery, the answer for this from my side is no other game gives feel of role play of discovery, I think everyone here should help to keep this place alive and updated but the thing to remember , everything that starts have an end

FL MOD(EL)MAKING: TOOLS, RESOURCES, TUTORIALS AND MY SHIPS (OLD)

I am on discord: Roal-Yr#5994, I don't log on forum more than a few times a year.

I am not making ships for FL anymore, I am making my own space game instead:

Count with me to keep disco going, but I don't like this faith bs, I prefer to use reason and logic. But don't worry, both say to me that disco will still be around for long.

Wow. Wise words from an oft too unspoken member of the community.

Props, X.
