-to have regional zoner restarts (more or less the current situation)
These two options would result in different reputations and maps.
Actually I have no preference for one or the other option, both appears suitable to me.
Basically, the single zoner restart would have a neutral repuation to everybody with these exceptions:
-Nomad and known infected: hostile
-GMG/The Order: neutral or friendly or allied (I feel it needs to be discussed since the disco background has evolved since vanilla freelancer)
-Freelancer: friendly
-IMG: friendly
The map would include:
-all zoner bases (TAZ and OSI bases could be considered separately)
-paths between zoner bases using tradelanes and jumpgates if possible or jumphole and free flight if not possible
-all Freelancer bases
-most important IMG bases (I've always seen some affinity between zoners and IMG, this could be discussed too)
-most important GMG/The Order bases (depending on the reputation)
In the second option, the restart would depend on the region. The setup would be more complex and would need further discussion.
The region would be:
-House Region (Freeport 1, 2, 14, Ames research Station, Bethlehem)
-Tau Region (Freeport 6, 10 and Baffin)
-Omega/Omicron Region (Freeport 5, 9, 11, omicron 74 bases)
The reputation would be adapted to the closest neighbors, the concept being regional zoners must be at least tolerated by local factions and government.
The map would include nearby authorized systems of the region and a path to the closes House(s) to get some supplies (for Tau and Omega/Omicron zoners).
As soon as an option is chosen I could prepare a templace for zoner restart(s) and we could discuss the detailed.
Feel free to share your ideas.

I would actually agree that Zoners, per say, should not be playable, but only in that they ended up being a catch all for anyone that is not in other factions; sort of a catch all folder for, "Doesn't fit anywhere else".
The problem is that you end up needing a bunch of micro-factions for single system polities and other special interest groups.
This is why I disagree with treatment of Zoners as a one faction. Because, they aren't a single faction, like Freelancers and unlike Bounty Hunters Guild.
Please remain on the topic, the question debated here is "should we have one or several zoner restarts". For other topics you should open a new thread.
