Since I installed FarCry 2 on my PC, I haven't been able to Connect to any Freelancer Server.
I use Vista and have been since last December with out any problems.
I have re-installed FL, FLMM and even windows Vista again 3 times and I still can't connect.
Hoodlem has checked Server side and found nothing wrong.
I get the message
"I'm sorry but the connection could not be established to that server. This is usally caused by the server going offline when you attempted to connect to it. It may also be caused by Internet problems. Please try again later"
By the way FarCry 2 is a big disapointment ? Crysis is much better game. I know from what i've read since that FarCry 2 has loads of crappy protection that can screw up your PC. And my PC is now screwed up and I can't play FL online anymore.
So far, Farcry 2 has done nothing but make me cry ! :(
Now it might be a coincedence ? But i will let you make your own minds up ?

Did you read my post.
I have re-installed the OS. The 1st thing I did was un-install Farcry 2. But that doesn't remove the copy protection. I think the copy Protection copy's itself onto all your hard drives so you can't get rid of it ?
If it thinks you are going to try and copy the DVD it can disable your DVDRW and Nero ect ?
On installation Securom gives it's self full Admin rights and can do what ever it wants to your PC.
This is worse than any Virus I have ever had in 20 years of using PC's.
Edit: My mistake, server seems to be working fine now. Dunno what the problem would be, seems odd that the copy protection of one game would screw with another 8 year old game.
Another innocent victim. I'm sorry about the problems you're having. You might try googling for DRM and Securom to find sites or people that could help you.
