Born on Leeds to a wealthy Military family, Matthew was an exceptionally smart young boy who attending many prestigious schools across the Planet. At the age of 17 he enrolled into the Armed Forces Academy, kicking off his Military career.
Military Service
In 817 AS, was assigned to the HMS-Shaw. would participate in many engagements against the Kusari Naval Forces leading to his promotion to Lieutenant.
In 818 AS, Shortly after the Gallic Invasion of Sirius, Lieutenant was wounded in an engagement in orbit of Leeds. The HMS-Shaw was destroyed by Royal Navy forces. Lieutenant would be reassigned to the HMS-Concord.
In 819 AS, The HMS-Concord was heavily damaged during an Armed Forces counterattack. Lieutenant Decker assumed command of the HMS-Concord after the acting Captain and Command staff were killed due to a Hull Breach. Lieutenant managed to return the HMS-Concord to Planet Leeds, securing his promotion to Commander. Commander was given command of the newly commissioned HMS-Jackdaw.
