Loig here. I'm the main author of our memoirs, mainly because I'm the one with the most time on my hands as my ship takes me from port to port on my trade routes. My last message from Alan says that he's been looking around at the various groups to see who might be best suited to help us. He's no longer sure the Liberty government forces are the solution. Erwan vanished, but before he did he mentioned he might try to join one of the more shady groups in Gallia. I hope he doesn't get in too deep. Then again, little brother has always been quite the resourceful guy so I'm not all that worried.
The parting was difficult, we'd been together our entire lives but we could not stay together any longer. Not and accomplish the seemingly impossible task we have set ourselves. Three farmers and merchants taking on the might of a major Gallic noble and a large corporation, all at the same time? We're crazy. But we don't see that we have any choice. Our lives were ripped from us, and we don't even know by whom, or why. We suspect it was to get access to the silver, but there would have been much simpler ways to get access to it that wouldn't have involved the murder of hundreds of people! The whole situation seems overly complex just to get access to some silver that they aren't even selling. Something deeper is hidden here, I can feel it.
I'm posting this on the open neural net message boards in the hopes that others will read this and know that the people of Kermoroc'h will not be forgotten. If it warns those responsible then let them quake in fear. Or laugh at our hubris. It doesn't matter. We just have to keep going and do what we can. We will have our vengeance.
If anyone has suggestions or thoughts of their own on the topic, just reply here. Anything from helpful hints to comments about my writing. If I'm going to write a memoir while the memories are being made I might as well do it right. Who knows, if we survive we might even be able to publish the story. I'll get the replies at my next stop, although it's a long way between stations these days.
