What about that recon cruiser?

Yep, that's the LSF recon cruiser biting dust in Grise Fjord Shipyard in Ellsmere. I remember this thing there from before I joined disco, so perhaps it's been there since 4.86?

I ran over the model files while making renders for the [LN] info page a while ago and I saw that the model is already done and hardpoints are already there, so that means it was -this- close to being to implemented. So I was wondering recently; What happened with this ship? Are there any possibilities to see the ship flying? Perhaps an SRP only ship or restricted by ID? Or even openly accessible?

It's most likely that people forgot about it or so, but there's also plenty of people simply saying that "Liberty doesn't need another ship". Well yes that's true it doesn't really, but since the ship is already done it could as well be used for various scenarios for different purposes. Especially as one of those mystic special snowflake shippies that you can use for covert operations RP or so? Either way it wouldn't really hurt anything.

I'd actually like to hear your thoughts, opinions and some statements from devs or admins perhaps. So yeah, discuss.

I personally like the ship itself, the design and model look really great and it has that Liberty vibe to it. But I have noticed that the Bretonian Armed Forces are one of the only Houses with a Battlecruiser. Is there a reason for this or what? Maybe Liberty could give the Battlecruiser to the Bretonian Armed Forces for this new LSF Prototype?

if it gets added,there is hope for a new bret carrier model right?
i mean this is pretty much dry,i was the last comment months ago (http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=134612)
and the prototype at south hampton looks like utter rubbish for a heavy carrier

but it would be awesome to have a recon cruiser poping up in systems,it would be more of a "oh we have been seen" moment as you might know its a recon ship,not just some battleship,have the vessel have 1 docking bay for light snubs for more recon purposes
