Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.(There is a 5 minute window after death in which you can leave the system with an empty ship.)
Proposal:
Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place and may only re-engage the attacker(s) in defense of an allied or neutral ship - as per their ID lines - in a different system. Otherwise, they must not re-engage these ships for another 2 hours. They may re-enter the system once this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.(There is a 5 minute window after death in which you can leave the system with an empty ship.)
It's kind of weird when you've been made pvp dead to a hostile ship(s) in (i.e) Omicron Kappa and you respawn in Omicron Delta, and if your wingman comes running back home with hostiles hot on their tail to a system you're not PvP dead in, you're still powerless to provide assistance. Even if there's one ship following them that was part of the PvP encounter you were in before.
the current system is already very liberal as it is, with snub fights lasting unnecessarily long.
i personally think that if you die, you should log out that character altogether for 2h

I would not be that harsh, especially for characters which fly all around the Sirius. However I agree with the first part. The proposal may easily end in neverending battles (not to mention it is indirectly promoting ganking), when two groups shoot each other, then when it´s almost at the end, one or two survivors from one group manage to jump to another system where their resupplied mates are just waiting to re-engage damaged attackers. So no, this is not the way we should go.
Would only further promote ganking behavior as Laura stated. I know it's not fun when you lose a big group fight, but that shouldn't mean you need to get an extra life for every new system you're in.
