I hope this message reaches you in haste, for I come on behalf of the Crayter Military with information and the hope you may be able to lend a hand towards the rescuing of innocent lives.
Quite recently, one of our Crayter Movers was attacked by the terrorist group known as the Lane Hackers, while it was carrying a large number of refugees. Our captain attempted to defend the freedom of his passengers, at the cost of his life and ship, but unfortunately those people were captured by the Hackers. Now - unsurprisingly - they dare contact us demanding credits in return for releasing their hostages.
The reason I contact you is that perhaps you could attempt to do something in this matter. As you can imagine, the Republic does not condone terrorism and as such will not negotiate with these villains. Still, we want to ensure those people will not end up as slaves on Malta, or who knows where. In that regard, we've already tightened security patrols in the Tau region and we've dispatched search parties to see if we can mount a rescue mission.
If you believe you possess any information that would aid us in these operations, or if you can act towards saving the refugees, please do so.
I'll see what I can do. I cannot promise miracles, but we both do not want to see the end that we both know too well because we have seen it too often: just another tragedy in the Taus or on Malta including mass loss of life - one way or the other.
