In Omega-55 there's a Planet called, well, Unknown Planet. It has this infocard:

Quote:DIAMETER: 19,351 km
MASS: 11.01 x 11e24 kg
TERRAIN: Barren
TEMPERATURE: -6°C Average
ESCAPE VELOCITY: 17.42 km/sec

A barren planet in a barren system which a team of surveyors paid very little attention to. Several years later some Hessians claimed that they were trapped on the planet by unknown hostile forces in Rheinlandic ships. That report has never been confirmed.

Is there any further info on this planet by chance? I had a cool idea for an RP story inspired by a movie.

No, I do not want to colonize it.

Well, I don't know, man, that sounds pretty colonizable to me.

Not that I know of Lyth. It used to be part of the Wilde System and they weren't big on giving out their secrets. Might want to ask them about it. Smile

No, you are not colonising it.

Is the film you are thinking of Ghosts of Mars? Good film.

What's wrong with colonizing it? Don't worry, Hessians sold their souls there, and they're fine.

The last time people poked around on the planet's surface, something called the Nomad War happened.

Edit: Lyth appears to be correct, Pygar is already "canon" as the spark of the Nomad War.

I think there's better opportunities to be had in not colonizing it. Personally I'd find such an approach boring, plus colonizing it probably wouldn't be worthwhile given both it's location and that the planet is barren. I'm mainly wondering if it has an atmosphere or not.

FYI that was Pygar I believe, which is in Theta.
