Ping and VPN Problem

Hello ,
I get to a state where ping gets above 300 and game becomes laggy and unplayable ,
I tried using a VPN (hotspot shield ) but when I activate the vpn , The server list becomes empty
any help ??

Either your VPN is not set to allow gaming or the port for the server is closed. You need to make sure that you open the port 2302 in the VPN. Otherwise it may not work. I'm not sure exactly how VPN will help your ping issues though. The VPN technology still relies on your current technology and connection. If you had 300 ping with a direct connection, you may have gotten a ping of over 1000 using VPN and that would cause the server not to show up by default in the server list. Using VPN is only good when you have a service that blocks things, tracks things, or generally you need to show you are from somewhere else to get access.

Also, there was issues with the server when it was being migrated, they changed it back, in case you didn't get the message, you will need to put the argument in your launcher '-s51.254.85.204:2302' (remove the quotes)

If you can connect without a VPN, do it. It really does slow things down because of the extra hoops.

Useful if you're lazy and trading. A sheer hassle in a fight.

(Also, I get 300+ ping without VPN. )
