So, just curious. What do you guys think are the best looking systems in Discovery? I need to know as I'm doing a little bit of research, if that's what you want to call it.
Well, that's a tough question. There's a lot of pretty systems.
In my opinion, vanilla systems like Omicron Alpha and Omicron Gamma are really great, then the Sigmas and bits of Kusari. Also the Omegas, both new and old.
Also, now there's the very well designed Omicron Iota too, the thing looks really out of this world.
Edit: It's removed now (unfortunately) buy it was my favorite system. It somehow felt larger but also smaller than any other system to me. It gave a sense of eerieness that I don't even get in Iota or Major. Good system. Sad it's gone.
Burgundy, Ill Dead France, Drake, Omicron Delta, Omicron Kappa.
I like systems that have either an extremely diverse range of planetary bodies, intriguing star maps or astronomical features distinctive from other systems. Generally the number of uninhabited planets in house space is too damn low. Planets add environmental hazards, places to hide goodies, and infocards to hunt. They're worth having.
THE SYNDIC LEAGUES
(A co-operative of Rheinland's outlawed trade unions, determined to take the underworld for themselves.)
My current list would contain the following systems, with no order:
Omicron Delta: The green-yello star and the ring around it gives this system the right feeling of being an unexplored region. Burgundy: The amount of detail regarding the sun, the planets and other objects in there make you feel small. Omicron Major: Creepy nebula which hides some secrets below. What else need to say? Sigma-17: The background of '17, the nebula, and only one jumpgate make it a perfect example of being the frontier to wild space. Frankfurt: Only a drive-through, Frankfurt can show us that house space is not as safe as many think, at least that's what I feel
There are many other really beautiful systems like the new Omicrons, but I wanted to keep the list short.
