I recently had an encounter with a group of BAF in Tau-23 in my trader.
They asked me stop. I was going to do it, but after scanning one of their wessels, seening they had Pirate-ID's, and since I was right next to a Base, I decided to make a run and Dock, which I did succesfully.
I'm not questioning that a Pirate should or should not shoot me.
What I question is that a Group from the BAF, ("BAF" was part of their names) with Armed forces Tag, running Bretonian GB's, had a Pirate ID and was pirating on me....
When questioned about why they had Pirate ID's they answer because they are Privateers.
Well that has perhaps an RP reason......but shouldn't their names, Tag say something more about what they are.
This is not a rule breaking report, that's why I'm not giving names. I'm just asking the Disco community about what you think about it.

They are a group of private individuals that fly under a letter of Marque to fight the Kusari hoarde. You can read up on the faction here post#35
As far as the ID goes, it was the best way to do things and still follow the Rules. Hope this helps answer your question. There are other posts that give more detail and history and as I find them I will edit this.
Edit: Lot of quick typing (trigger) fingers out there.
Yes they use Pirate ID which by no means says you can shoot people/traders on sight without making a demand. And specially when they are zoners and have no cargo.
Just to bare in mind ;)
