I don't know how I feel. I love space stuff, but I don't know if it'll be any good. Apparently, there's little chance for interaction. I don't get the point of open sandboxes if there's no overarching story line.

Interesting, not sure if that one's going to be any better. Then there's Star Citizen which is all hype.
And if you want a good modern space game.. Check out Empyrion: Galactic Survival. Awesome game. Very early access but so much to do already. Build your bases and ships. Explore, mine. Trading is coming. There is a MMO style marketplace and an ingame currency. NO pay2play either. It's only 20 bucks and worth every penny and then some. Just remember, this game is far from being done.

HAHA. Star Citizen. The game that was gonna be released last year. Now is gonna be released next year... I'll ignore the hype and wait to see if it actually comes out.. lol

@Sorrontis. The point of open sandbox is to create your own adventure. Write your own story Your way, your speed or lack there of. Your version of fun. I personally love the misadventures I get into. Personally, I play a lot of Empyrion Galactic Survival. And so far I am almost ready to begin "colonizing" the solar system.... I've built a small fleet. 2 capital Vessels, 2 small fighters, a couple hovercraft (for planetary use) and my special transport ship. I have almost enough resources to embark on phase 2. And soon...MUAHAHAHAHA. Soon those Aliens will have to tango with El Capitan Hooligan on a very personal level;;
Speaking of which... I better get back to my plans of conquest.... I have a planet to invade and make a home out of..
