The connection comes in broken, parts of it phasing in and out over and over again till it slowly got a good rebound off a deep space relay

*All that plays back in response upon the next connection is the video log of an empty bridge and a ping that reads out from the Sigma's. The bridge door appears to have been blown open by force with the bridge interior looking to have been shot up badly. The ping continues to transmit from the Sigma quadrant of space, however gave no other hint of ship class, possible enemies or even in which Sigma she was in before the transmission stopped*
