Yesterday, I was chasing a Xeno with an ID, tag, and Xeno Alliance name (XA). I cruise disrupted him (I was an LPI character) and ordered him to stop. He said "I surrender!" So what am I supposed to do? I can't kill him if he surrenders, its unRP, but I can't let him go either, and I can't put his character in prison. I was called back to deal with a pirate fleet in Alaska, so I let him go. Any thought on how to deal with surrendering, as it is correct RP, but can create problems.

Best I can say is ask him to acted like he was thrown into your hold and put him on a prison liner until he serves his time. (4 hours. )

Or tell him to leave the system for 4 hours or til you log as if he died.

Interesting question.
Hard to say what's appropriate, my hope would be that the one who surrendered would treat it as though he was defeated or ran away and follow the 4 hour rule.
It's an RP situation really, one that can be solved with RP .

Personally, someone who has surrendered should leave the system immediately. If you want to drive them out of your house, for instance, you can pursue them and attack them again, since most reengagement rules do not apply to the victor.

Thanks Dieter but heres an example for you next time you encounter this again.

Surrenderer:
"Okay I surrender!"

Responce:
"Alright pilot you have accepted defeat. You are
to leave this system and not return."
((Dont come back until 4 hours are up))

OOC not needed but if you want to add that you could.

Maybe escort them to the nearest prison liner/station and have them log off there for 4 hours?

Yeh the escort them thing mb said seems like a bad idea to me. Why?

1: They can call friends to help them escape.

2: Most places dont have a prison station of any kind.
