Fully outfitting all shiplines with existing snub shiptypes

Hey there, I was wondering about this. Should it be made so that any faction in the game, within the constraints of their ID, should have access to at least one 100% core ship of every single type of ship we have.

Those ships being:

Light Fighter
Heavy Fighter
Heavy Fighter Utility (CD + CD/T)
VHF (11400 u)
VHF (15000 u)
SHF (1x Bomber T)
SHF (2x Fighter T)
Lbomber (2x Bomber T/CD)
Hbomber (2x Bomber T + 1x CD)


This, in most cases, can be fixed by simply making sure that the SIRIUS CIVILIAN line has all of these ships. Can this be done? Should this be done?

At the very least the Sirius Civilian/Border world's should be as such.

Takes a bit of uniqueness out of some factions. Having to adapt and be creative with your fleets is some of the fun. When every faction has access to the exact same ship classes it takes some planning out of it. (I feel the same about every faction and their mothers getting a full cap lineup)

If in lore it supports it, i suppose it is justified in having capital ships.

Many factions (IMG, RH) had caps added because their main enemies had caps.
I am talking ONLY about snubs here though. If that was the case, I do not see why the civ line shouldn't contain all of the shipclasses so that factions without them can have access to generics at least.

Pretty much this. I'd also rather worry about making certain archetypes mentioned in the OP (SHFs, utility HF, LF) actually viable, rather than just adding more relatively useless ships to the mod.

Regardless, currently underwhelming ships like the Raven's Talon and Sunrider will likely see changes that might coincidentally fill some of the "slots" mentioned in the OP in the Civilian line.

Don't forget the Sutinga please. That is a ship many can use but is actually not comparing.
