Cargo problem with Marauder

So, I have a Marauder Civilian Heavy Fighter.

Long story short, there is something taking up 25 out the 50 cargo space and I have no idea what it is.

I have the usual assortment of weapons, plus a Sidewinder and a Sunslayer Torpedo, plus a CM launcher, but no ammo for any of them right now, so my cargo bay *should* be empty, right?

I have no extra armor and the usual sort of shield/engine/scanner/thruster/ID package either, so I have no idea what is taking up the extra space.

I have tried dismounting the Sidewinder and Torpedo with no change to the cargo situation, I thought about actually selling them off, but that char doesn't have the credits to buy them back again and before someone says something, yes I know about credit transfers :p

Anyone have any idea what this is about?

EDIT: For the ADMINS, ship name is Empyrion, currently in New York.

Normally, when you sell stuff on a station you can buy it back for the same price as long as you don't undock. Try it out, sell everything and see what takes that cargospace. I'd say it's the torpedos. Just don't undock or log out and you won't lose money.

Your shield and weapons take up space. Weapon turrets take 5 units of space each, and your shield I think it's 20 units, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized that it's for a HF, not a transport.

So....

No reply from people that might actually know what is up with this.

Looks like I'll have to transfer some credits from one of my other ships, sell off a few items and see which one is the culprit.

Thanks to the people who answered, gave me a few ideas to check out at the very least.

I'll post here when I figure out what is going on.

Do you have a reinforced CD or a Heavy CM dropper?, because I know they take up 5 units of cargo space each

As for the other 15, I wouldnt have a clue!

Nope, no reinforced cd and I'm pretty sure I don't have a heavy cm dropper.

I have zero idea what is going on right now, there is something totally weird about all this.

I unmounted every weapon, sold the sidewinder and sunslayer and no change. I even unmounted everything else with no change in the cargo situation.

I'm starting to think this is some sort of minor glitch/bug.

All I know is that if I decide to be serious with this ship instead of using it as a 'fun fly', mounting serious armor on it will be problematic.

Ok I have saved your file as it is now, added 10 million to the one you have access to. So sell things, experiment etc. to try and see if you can pinpoint it.

If you find the problem post below and then I will replace this "experimental ship" with your current file.

Really?! Awesome, I had better get onto this then.

I think what I'll do initially is totally strip the ship of everything, switch to another ship and then switch back, just to make sure everything is gone.

The cargo bay *should* be 'empty' at that point.

Problem sorted.

Turns out I *did* have a Heavy CM Dropper mounted and it was taking up 25 cargo space instead of the mentioned 5.

This is something for players with Snubs to take notice of, install one of these and you may not have the space to mount heavy armor.

I've swapped that out for a 'Sentinel' CM Dropper and gained back that 25 cargo space.

I also made some other changes while I was at it. Vengance weapons and a Firestalker missile instead of a Sidewinder.

@Tunicle: Thanks for the extra credits to help work this out, you can have them back now

Looks like the problem is with the Heavy CM dropper, it takes 25 cargo when installed! 0_0!!!
