Three times within the last few weeks, I got into a 1 on 1 fighter PvP where I had the distinct impression (for one of those 3 someone else who fought the same guy shared my view too) that an adversary had an extraordinary ability to hit me in the craziest situations and angles.
This is how I experienced it:
-I had the impression that my shield and hull went down although his shots didn't even seem to hit me, at least I didn't see or hear projectiles hitting me. I know this can happen due to lag, but I didn't notice any other symptoms of lag, and it seems strange that it should systematically only happen when fighting certain individuals
-No matter in which direction the adversary was turning, his aim was still on me. For example, his (VHF) ship appears to be making a turn to his right, but his shots are firing to his left, hiting me, at an angle that seems absurd (90 degrees to the side or something like that). Is there a way to do that with keyboard controls?
-He just wizzed past me head on, and when Im still turning halfway around to him, and he's already shooting and hitting me, although we both fly vhfs. Either his VHF can turn faster than a light fighter, or its the same crazy view arcs and aiming ability.
Someone told me that the crazy shooting angles could result from something called "fish eye" where the camera properties are changed to get a wider field of view.
Question... is this allowed via server rules?
If not... how does one prove someone is using it?
Is there a certain way to identify it if the fight was recorded on video with FRAPs?
Could it be made mandatory to force the (alleged) cheater to take a screenshot of his screen and post it, to show he's not using a camera exploit? I know it's a "presumed guilty until proven innocent" approach, which isn't nice, but is there any other way to identify someone using an abnormally wide field of view?

Is it identifyable in screenshots they make?
