Good day, I am Captain Azuki Tamagochi of the Gas Miners Guild. I recently visited Liberty to refit one of our Whale Transports, and make trade with your systems in the process.

During the course of my transactions, myself and other pilots in Manhatten were treated to the spectacle of Liberty Naval Forces attempting to maintain order in the face of certain ADMIN class ships - an onerous task no doubt!

This was the cause of considerable mirth to those who were witness to the event. However I do not believe this excuses the rather unprofessional attitude of one Lt. Commander [LN]Seth.Karlo. I can provide telemetry of the communications if desired.

I do not take kindly to being told to 'shut it' by ANY officer who deigns to hold a rank, particularly when I have not made any slanderous or disparaging comment. Perhaps it is my precious and aloof Kusari upbringing, but for a commissioned officer to make such remarks to civilians is a disgrace to his commission.

Furthermore, when challenged as to the legitmacy of his demand for silence, utterances were made to the effect that this was not GMG territory and I was not to tell this officer what he could and could not do. I note at this point that at no stage did I make any demand against the officer.

I would also like to point out that there is no penalty for free speech in the Liberty Penal Code. Perhaps my Kusari mind-set does not understand the irony of the word 'Liberty' as applied to the local constabulary.

Thank you for your attention.

Well...

I can see where your coming from, and why you'd see it unexamplary of a Navy officer. Which is a very fair statement.

But firstly, isn't there a LN complaints thread? I believe the only feedback topic i could find is here

Secondly, let me just point out that nothing is going to be done in reply to this. I know you might not want to hear it but I can't really forsee the Liberty Navy taking much or any action towards Seth for a simple "shut it". Yes, perhaps he could have been a bit more civilised and less assertive, but to funnel all of the things youv'e said above from a simple quote seems to be stretching it a bit.

If it still bothers you next time then i recommend you post it in the feedback topic which i've already provided a link for and maybe they will reply and do somthing about it. But as for now I don't think it's serious enough for anybody to take it seriousley.

'Ash

Incoming transmission..
Comm ID: Admiral John Talon
To: Captain Tamagochi

Good day captain, I'm afraid your...message to us, is rather vague, I would like that you send us a photolog of the incident so we can hopefully clear this up. Because from what I gathered, you tried to order one of my officers around? Or at least tell him what he should do? That's not a particularly healthy standpoint for a Kusarian in Liberty. Again, a full photolog of the incident is necessary and that includes what you said sir, and what the accused officer said as well.

Ending transmission..

[ID: Seth Karlo]

Why hello sir.

I do apologise if you took offence to this, I was busy trying to deal with the ADMIN vessel, and your comment's were well, distracting and a tad insulting.

I am aware I am slightly rude when I am busy, I think you'll find I tell quite a few people to "shut it" in system wide comms. Something I am working on changing, don't worry.

Seth

[Incoming Transmission]
[CommID: Guildmaster Marieka Kyietan]
[Target: Captain Tamagochi, Liberty Navy]

Good day sirs.

I have a few things to say to this, none are very serious, but still need to be said.

For one, Captain Tamagochi, we need not take words like this as blows to our pride, instead we must move on and ignore their words, indeed, I feel it is the right thing to complain, but it is not that serious, is it?

Also, Admiral Talon, I hope you can at least in some way try and keep your men a bit more polite, as all our dealings with the Liberty Navy to date have been fine, even co-operating with our escorts to destroy an outcast blockade in your space, we do hold you with some respect, but this matter has not helped it much.

Also, Captain Tamagochi, please in the future attempt to add some photologs to your transmissions, you shall find it helps a great deal.

In the end, you have gained the apology, this is indeed what you were looking for Captain?

***INCOMING TRANSMISSION***

From: Cpt. Azuki Tamagochi ; GMG|GTS.Abashiri
To: LN Seth Karlo; Guildmaster Marieka Kyietan

Indeed this is a fair outcome. I accept your apology Mister Karlo. I also offer an apology. Although the situation was amusing to an observer such as myself, I did not fully appreciate the stresses placed on you when you were dealing with the incident at hand.

Respectfully,
Azuki
