Born in 780 A.S. Born to 2 ace pilots who were some of the first to explore the fringes of Sirius, Khem was destined for adventure. Born on Malta Khem's parents were guests of the Outcasts. Khem spent his first 10 years hear, which in turn did change him. He gained all the positive effects of cardamine, without the addiction, including an extended life, and established some very close contacts with other children growing up on Malta. He became well known amongst them as someone who would lead the universe to a new age with the way he talked. In 790 A.S. Khem's parents made a deal with the Outcasts. Move a huge shipment of Cardamine to Manhattan , establishing a safe route and a place to offload product. In turn they got a 30% cut of the load, and were considered close friends of the Outcasts.

Deciding to also settle on Manhattan after such a large profit was made Khem led a relatively normal life. Khem managed to keep out of trouble in his young years despite always being mischievous. He was never a bad person. Just capable of some very bad things. Believing firmly in the the golden rule: Do unto others, he moved through life bothering as few people as possible, but still didn't follow all the rules and laws. At 13 Khem's Mom was murdered by Police coming home from grocery shopping. Leaving him and his father devastated they both became very quiet; around the world and eachother.

At 17 Khem's father left to Malta to speak with some of his friends. On the way home he was ambushed by bounty hunters. Attempting to escape, he fled through at that time uncharted space. He managed to find a system. One with a structure that was alien. But it was far. Too far. He had run out of fuel and the energy system was damaged. With his last transmission his father told him: I have already left everything to you. I am sending you the coordinates of the jump hole I took. I won't be found. I won't even make it to the structure. I know you are just as curious as I am about what's out there in the universe. Don't let anything stop you

Contacting his friends on Malta, Khem moved cardamine to Manhattan for 2 years. Becoming a notorious criminal but with no evidence on him, Khem had become like a kingpin. But that bored him. But having heard whispers of an alien invasion Khem set off to Rheinland to explore the rumors. Everything seemed to support the rumors of invasion and an alien attacker. and he remembered his fathers words. He was right. He had to know about these things for himself. After leaving Manhattan at 25 Khem set off for the coordinates his father sent him. That system was charted but he couldn't remember if it was a jump gate or hole. It had been too many years. But he still explored the cloud. Up and down left and right. consistently losing track of where he was. Then he found it. A jump gate of alien origin. Somehow still active. Khem took a deep breath and activated it.

On the other side he immediately saw it. It had to be the structure his father spoke of. Massive. Alien. and definitely active. With determination Khem went full speed to the station. It was dockable... He flipped a coin. Trusting in the universe and his instinct he decided Heads he goes in, tails he returns home.
Heads.
With one last deep breath Khem docks, near terrified of what may lie ahead.

Amazing. Other humans were here. They too had somehow heard the call of or stumbled upon this place. All of us had one thing in common: all we wanted was to live in peace, despite what has happened to us and everyone else in the world.
Khem has spent the last few years, drifting from place to place in space, exploring for himself. He awaits the call of those allied with the nomads. Eager to understand the true history of the universe.
