Investigation Results and addendum

For about a month and an half, I have been mapping the events, data and results of everything that has happened from the moment @GamerGirl was banned to the destruction of the forum box and its aftermath. The full details themselves are irrelevant, so instead I will outline the key points here:

- GamerGirl has not been directly involved in any cheating or hacking event. At best she was angry at some other members, but being angry does not constitute a violation of the server rules.

- Duvelske and @ger3mita are responsible of all cheating done, including cheated POB destructions.

- The forum box destruction is unrelated. It was the work of a skid that got hold of a valid ssh key and decided to, well, be a skid. The key was revoked as soon as the snapshot was restored and measures taken to ensure nothing such happens again.

Therefore, the ban of @GamerGirl is hereby revoked. It will however be reinstated immediatly if we spot either Duvelske or ger3mita on the main server. We've also been told ger3mita was on the scene and participating in the siege of the Reutlingen POB. Even though the cheated ship took the base faster than it should have, the Hessian force had wiped the lawful resistance and had more than enough ships to successfully destroy the base. We are therefore not going to restore Reutlingen. Kruger is more than welcome to start a new project shall they desire so.

GamerGirl has expressed the wish to share the following open letter with the community as a whole. Please take some time to read through it.

Hello everyone in Discovery community,

Recent times have shown both my light and my dark side; my attempts to work with everyone in good and peaceful way and my short temper to flame out at anyone that I thought wronged me in some way. I realise I shouldn’t have bursted out like I did on both forums and skype channels but in rage it happened. It happened and it can’t easily be undone or fixed. My actions have surely hurt some feelings because I my feelings were hurt as well and I seeked the only thing my mind could see then, revenge. But like says in that sanction report section ‘’chill down and think it over before doing anything’’ I completely lost it and went berserk. I truly feel sorry for my rash actions. In the future I will try my best never again to fall prey to any sort of bad deeds that have happened to me or any sort of baits or similar things, think first, act later.

To the matter of cheating that has been circulating my name. I can say and promise with absolute certainty and honesty that have never used any sort of cheats nor that I even know or have knowledge how to use them in the first place. My husband the other hand is a different story all together. After my ban was put into place, for reason not related to me, he found it appropriate to find justice for me by ‘’punishing’’ those who have banned/wronged me even though that would mean making everyone not being able to play, a completely wrong and irrational way in my opinion but he did it anyway. As soon as I found out about this I pressured him and explained the wrongness in his actions. As a final act, I denied him any fun he might have with his wife.

Finally to the bases involved in this happenings. Reutlingen Storage Facility, from what my husband told me, it was indeed blown up by cheats. One ship in that group, which I will not name but admins know which, was the cause of it’s destruction in minutes. Iejima Station, I didn’t post that attack declaration thread but I did use a Corsair ship I had access to to shoot it. Since base’s shield didn’t activate I assumed the Helium-3 ore was used to power the shield at the same time as it was sold for credits and that all of it was sold so that was the reason for the shield not being activated. I have no other explanation. Park Avenue Station, I did ask people to shoot it, yes, bad thinking and decisions by me but I wasn’t there shooting it or any other stations after that.

I hope this text clarifies some points about unfortunate event that have occurred. I tried to keep it brief and not write the Great China Wall of Text. I am sorry once again for any trouble that I have caused.
