To begin the Solomon K'Hara roughly means Peaceful beloved. The alien faction of Discovery Community has a long running and evolving lore that is found in different corners of the forums, and wiki, and some of the old PDF's.
We are often asked what's correct what's cannon. Well. as it turns out this Hive has its own history. But the Nomad species is much much larger. In fact there could be a hive near every inhabitable cluster in the known universe.
But the setting here is Sirius. The Khara here has rebuilt since the Nomad war in 800 a.s. and the divergence with other Hives majorly begin there.
Do not read this thread thinking it can assist you joining other Nomad groups or even make one. This is purely to get you on your feet and assimilating the needed information for membership in this group.
The current state of affairs.
The "dream" or the Hive as it exists within its collective consciousness has been transformed by an ancient genetic codex left behind by the Daam K'Vosh.
This Xna or Trans/Mutational dna code laces nucleic and crystalline forms of dna into a structure that isnt just physical but has elements within other dimensions.
What does that mean? The source of Nomad energy Is from a void or entanglement with elements in another diemensions.
This energy is brought through the substances and structures closest to the nomads nervous system cores and propagates energy throughout its other parts. Ships respond the same way. They have elements that conjoin with the Hives central nexus (master processor) tapping power wirelessly and seemingly from anywhere in the sector. The same structure is also responsible for their ability to replicate their ships technology and other materials.
Its unknown if this has limits.. but the method of how these interdimensional ties function is at the core to the identity of different Nomad Hives.
This Xna was brought to them by an Oracle by the name of Three Winds who has sacrificed his corporeal existence to give the hive this missing puzzle piece and bring a new generation of Hybrids to existence. IE. the ascendant or "Stable" Hybrid.
There is a search for the fabled "Proteus Tome" as it was revealed to contain the rest of the secrets pertaining this ascending form of life code. It would also permit the construction of a complete Life Library for the Hive rather than depending on Three winds matrix and thusly releasing him back to the land of the living.

Roleplay with Khara members.
Every few weeks the head nom will discuss with the group good candidates for inclusion. This means one of them has to recommend one of you to get into the skype channel and begin your internship in morph land.
Morphs or Nymphs are supervised but able to go about the sector and roleplay and develop their alien senses and sensibilities. Tests and trials will be done.
Once fully approved the morph joins the dream and becomes a nymph. Almost everything about them changes. The nymph stage is the shortest but it involves the most character planning.
The nymph arrives at its name is developed it awakens from the dream and is free to do all the things.
1.) The morph and indy nomads dont have a powerful connection to the hive, their ideas of expression are limited and often can only buzz information into the minds of those around them. This can have great effects from visions, hallucinations, and odd disjointed but strangely poetic phonetic style.

2.) Getting to know your potential faction mates is important asking questions and getting up to speed with that we're doing and how to do nom speech comes from them. They are all graduates of this process and can help you with anything you need to know.
3.) The selection process is sort of like a sponsorship and usually this won't take long to occur it's just will your sponsor have the time to keep an eye on you for a week.
4/5.) The dream phase is like your character introduction. Before morphs used to post rp thread in their biography section this evolved into straight up morph logs cept in a linear fashion. But We need to make sure you're comfortable using the forums and a roleplay medium too and not just in the game server pewing things.

Other Requirements to keep in mind.
English speaking and writing . Trust me you can do one well and the other not so much. but as long as we can understand you. This also facilitates server rules.
Avoid Sanctions, rule breaking behaviour, harassment and more or less disruptive personal behaviour that means you can't be in the chat with your fellow members . Also cold stoning in chat ie. being there but not being present can get you put on inactive leave. So these are behaviours we look at.
