Quote:
Due to the food shortage crisis, the ships built/available crew ratio, the rise in Corsair population, and the increasing threat to the future of Corsair traditions and its people, the Corsair Brotherhood Elders and the membership of the Brotherhood have decided that:
A new heavy fleet must be organized to better coordinate and react to threats to the Corsair nation. This fleet will be made up of Independent Corsair captions, who agree to abide by the terms laid out here by the Brotherhood. Those Corsair captains who wish to abide by this agreement will be put onto a list of independent Corsairs who have shown themselves as trustworthy. These Corsairs will be the first ones called in for support, and will be consulted with on matters of importance to the Corsair people. These capital ships will be asked to participate in fleet training exercises and will be depended on in fleet battles, depending on the situation. The Brotherhood hopes that these independent Corsair captains will become the backbone of Crete's defensive fleet, as well as our checkmate in offensive operations against our enemies. United, there is no one in all of Sirius, who can defeat the Corsair nation.
I. Every independent Corsair that wishes to command a capital ship must provide a weekly amount of food rations adequate to the desired ship class. A Corsair Gunboat-class vessel must be accompanied by 1 shipment in an appropriate transport vessel every week. A Corsair Cruiser-class vessel must be accompanied by 4 shipments every week. A Corsair "Osiris" Battleship-class vessel must be accompanied by 6 shipments every week. A Corsair "Legate" Dreadnought-class vessel must be accompanied by 8 shipments every week. Any Corsair unwilling to comply, or failed to comply with these terms will have the afore mentioned rights revoked.
II. Every Corsair that wishes to command a private Battleship or Dreadnought-class vessel must smuggle out a weekly amount of alien artifacts. "Smuggling out" is understood as the trade action by a Corsair individual, regarding a specific commodity, to an external group at least four (4) jumps away from Corsair territory. A Battleship corresponds to the smuggling of 6 loads of artifacts in an appropriate transport ship, whilst a Dreadnought corresponds to the smuggling of 8 loads artifacts every week."
III. Every Corsair captain will agree to abide by a set of regulations handed down by the Elders of the Brotherhood. These regulations are the same that the pilots of the Brotherhood abide by, and will should be easy enough to follow. (See List Of Regulations Below)
IV. Captains will report in to the communications channel set up by The Brotherhood weekly. (//or as often as the ship is flown if it is less than once a week.) This report should include a summary of any major incidents, with the accompanying visual attachments if possible. This report should also include a summary of food imports and artifact exports for the week with visual attachments for authentication.
V. Captains will attempt to ensure the productive flow of supplies to Crete, as such, transports carrying Food, Weapons, Ship Components, Gold, and Agricultural Goods to Corsair bases shall be granted free passage, and protection as needed. These supplies are the lifeblood of our people and we must protect the transports carrying them to our home.
Capital Ship Restrictions
The behavior of a capital ship Captain must be befitting of the Captain of such a vessel. It is a privilege, not a right, to fly one of our majestic capital ships into battle. A privilege which should only go to the deserving, dedicated ones among us.
The warships in question should not leave the Corsair owned systems, contested systems may be entered and engaged only in emergencies, such as when the organized Corsair force in the area calls for assistance. (M26 Exempt)
The warships in questions may also not enter house territory unless contacted by Corsair forces engaged in an organized raid inside enemy territory. This is to ensure that Corsair armor is deployed at lowest cost to fuel reserves whilst providing adequate backup to raiding parties in the field. (M26 Exempt)
Corsair capital ships can leave Corsair owned systems if it is escorted by no less than 3 Corsair vessels of bomber class or lower, or called into the battlefield by the organized Corsair force. (M26 Exempt)
Corsair Capital ships shall mount no more than 2 Missile turrets.
Corsair Capital ships shall not mount Nomad weapons.
//OOC: First this program is totally voluntary. Second, this is not a Corsair Council program, this is a program of The Brotherhood. What we are proposing here, is an incentive program for Indies to learn and participate in good role play. I have been in contact with the leadership of the Ros who are willing to work with us on their side to help organize and run fleet battles, with cap ships, bombers and fighters, for everyone willing to play by our rules. In addition to that, Indies who join the program will get a chance to participate more fully in The Brotherhoods role play and activities. We will work with Indies in practicing combat skills as well as rp skills. If you don't want to sign up, no pew pew, but understand that there will be opportunities for Indies that you will not be asked to participate in, and when The Brotherhood needs people to work with us, you will not be the ones getting the call.
Well it's a pretty well known fact 90% of the Corsair caps floating around ain't on the forums.. So you'll have to advertise-spam ingame to get their attention.
