I have a friend which got the game and installed the game, everything runs perfectly except for the music. He hears no music at all while flying in space or in the landing sequences on planets, the volume in the options is all the way up. I'm not quite sure what is happening and unsure how to fix it, but it most likely lies within his computer itself.
He did the following:
1. Installed Vanilla Freelancer
2. Installed the Discovery Freelancer mod from the main site and went to the download link given.
3. Realized he didn't install it with admin rights so opened up the mod installer with the rights and overwrote the previous (lol)
4. It wouldn't start, but I came in and helped him out and got DirectPlay installed on his machine, the game started and worked without any major flaws.
5. He noticed there was no music playing in game, and he was able to use his media player and play them within the game files, but they would not play in the game itself.
Any hints as to how to solve this would be appreciated, the music in the game is nice and its somewhat incomplete without it. Thanks!
