Over the years, I've made a long list of what I consider interesting and vibrant characters, each with their own backstories and quirks that make them seem almost human, despite being the product of the imagination of one. From my first to my most recent, being updated as they come, I'm listing every single one that I can root out from the recesses of both my mind and the forums, lining them up as a reminder of just how far my creativity has come here in Disco.

Born on New Berlin shortly after the end of the Nomad War, Katherine was born as the only child of then Rheinland Military Vizeadmiral Lennard Theopold von Meyer, one of the few unaltered officers of the Military, and a member of the notable Meyer family of officers across Rheinland space. Throughout her early childhood and teenage years, Katherine was educated largely by professional tudors, falling out of public school early from problems that were initially linked to potential dyslexia, but were later discovered to simply be bad teaching on the part of her instructors. As she grew, her exposure to the Rheinland Military did as well, especially with the war against Liberty raging on her family's doorstep. Despite her interest in pursuing a college degree, she instead enlisted with the Military.

Thrown headlong into the War with Liberty, Katherine very quickly rose in ranks through the battlefield hierarchy, ascending to command of a Donau-class cruiser, the Mainz, by the war's end, her aptitude as a commander surpassing that of her skills as a fighter pilot. The war itself proved to be a boon to Katherine's career going forward, highlighting in her a talent for logistics, as well as fleet command. The post-war years would see her rise through the ranks stagger somewhat, as she was stationed in Frankfurt to help oversee the Military's expansion of supply routes from Mainz to Sektor-7.

Katherine largely stayed out of the spotlight, though voiced her opposition to the warhawks and neo-monarchists aboard the Battleship Koblenz. Despite reaching the rank of Konteradmiral, a rarity for an officer of the Military's Secondary Fleet, most in the Military's command structure continued spreading their sentiment. This combined with unrest from recent Federal elections and a movement to legalize the Bundschuh movement saw many of her superiors support renegade politicians on New Berlin in declaring the Rheinland Government defunct, sparking mass outrage across the nation.

With many of her superiors either defective or killed in the opening clashes, Katherine oversaw the retreat of many Federal-aligned forces into safe regions within Frankfurt, Thuringia, and Stuttgart, with the latter falling soon to Imperialist hands. Placed in command of Federal-aligned Military elements, and working alongside the Buro der Marineintelligenz and Bundschuh activists, she soon found herself organizing attacks on Imperialist holdings and strike forces, while ensuring the defense of Thuringia against all elements. For the whole of the Civil War, Katherine remained on the front, overseeing battle after battle, siege after siege, for nearly a year, until the war's end with the signing of the Holstein Accords.

Despite having played an active part in resisting the Imperialist coup, Katherine was allowed to retain her command, and following the Holstein Accords, Federal-aligned forces were soon reincorporated into the Military's command structure. Her family's name was formally recognized by the new Rheinland Government, and the Imperialist lockdown of her family home was lifted.
Though she continues to serve, saying her oath to the Rheinland people comes before all else, her vehement opposition to the Imperial government has caused many above her to question her position, but routine interference by supporters within both the Reichstag and the Military at large have allowed her to maintain her command.

She has been known to regularly speak volumes about the Civil War from her perspective as a Federalist supporter, and it is rumored that she routinely sends donations from her personal accounts to the Bundschuh movement, although these have never been corroborated. Until the day comes, though, it is likely she will remain as staunch a Republican as she was before the Civil War.

Constructed in 788 A.S. as part of the new line of advanced Bismarck-class battleships for the Rheinland Military, the Freya served as a strong-arm ship, operating within the unpopular fields of Omega-11 and working against the constant bombardment of the Red Hessians pouring in from Dresden. For the twelve years before the start of the Nomad War, Freya, affectionately known to those manning her as 'Das Hindernis' (the obstacle), was stationed in both Stuttgart and New Berlin as a deterrent to Blood Diamond smugglers. Upon the rise of the Nomad War, however, Freya's reputation took a large hit.

With the mass infestation of the Rheinland Military, Freya's commander, Vizeadmiral Werner Holstein, was reassigned, his vocality towards Rheinland's increased military spending and imperialism earning him a swift, and fatal, journey to the hells of the Walker Nebula. The ship received a new commander, and for the year that Rheinland's expansionism under command of the Nomads went unchecked, Freya was assigned to blockade the doorway to the Frankfurt system. Few escaped her watchful eye, exceptions being the legendary Edison Trent and his momentary wingman Hans Fischer. With the attack on her home conducted by the Bundschuh under Klaus Botzler, Freya was ordered to return home and watch over Sektor-7 as the construction yard was rebuilt.

Freya continued to operate in the east of Rheinland, her crew and command being swept of any remaining infected individuals after the rise of the Marinenachristendienst. Numerous raids by the Bundschuh, Corsairs, and Red Hessians would continue to dot her service through the next quarter-century, and after the GMG assault on Fulda she was given the green light to move forward with the subsequent declaration of war on the GMG, and soon after the Empire of Kusari. Freya fought for months on the front line, operating as part of Panzerflotte Bayern. During this time, she saw another change of command after the tragic loss of Vizeadmiral Oslo Kessler. His direct subordinate, Konteradmiral Katherine von Meyer, would move to secure the command of the ship and distance the Freya's involvement with Panzerflotte Bayern. After a short campaign north, Freya was ordered towards the opposite direction, acting as one of the very few Rheinland heavy warships operating inside of Frankfurt. Based from Schatten and operating in conjunction with the Schlactschiff Koblenz, Freya stood guard, coordinating patrols across the system.

At the outbreak of the Rheinland Civil War, Freya was among the first ships of the Federal loyalists to retaliate against forces loyal to the coup. The ship is credited with the destruction of Battleship Koblenz, though sustained considerable damage in the encounter. During the civil war, the ship itself took part in many battles with Imperial forces, and was instrumental in numerous failed Imperial assaults on the Schatten Facility. During a climactic battle in southern Frankfurt, Freya stood firm alongside numerous other Federal loyalists in ensuring that Imperial plans to invade Thuringia were consistently thwarted.

Despite these, when the ultimate ceasefire was called, many loyalists aboard the ship began to fear the future going forward. While no member of the ship's crew was accused of crimes for actions during the war, neither did any owe loyalty to the new Kaiser or his, in their eyes, 'sham government'. Regardless, the ship retained its position as the anchor for Kriegsflotte Freya, though many of her crew remain skeptical of the Rheinland they pledged to defend going forward.

Unlike many of the ships within the Bundeswehr, RNC Weser is a far newer ship of the 'Elbe'-class. Ordered at the beginning of the year 827 AS, Weser was planned to be a small addition to the Bundeswehr as part of a modernization spree within the defense department. Being constructed at Schatten's relatively unused drydocks put the completion of the ship's construction near the end of June of the same year, but with the descent of Rheinland into civil war in April, the ship's completion was pushed forward out of necessity for ships within the Federal resistance.

Weser wasn't spared the fire of enemy warships even before she was completed; As part of Koblenz's sabotage during her brief defection, many of her guns were trained on the construction yards, and despite the Bundeswehr flagship Freya moving to block the fire, Weser was still damaged in the brawl. Despite this, the ship's construction was rushed successfully, and the Bundeswehr found themselves host to a new warship by mid-May of 827. The ship was immediately commandeered by the Admiralty, and began her career as Admiral von Meyer's personal command ship, much to the dismay of the Kapitän Wissmann. During the course of the war, Weser was involved in numerous engagements within the Westerwald, both with Imperial forces as well as enterprising Hessian and Unioner raiders.

Following the ceasefire, and the integration of the Bundeswehr into the Imperial Rheinland military ranks, the ship was retained for Kriegsflotte Freya, remaining the flagship of its commanding officer, though now relegated to area defense and patrol sourcing as it had been planned before the war. However, despite flying Imperial colors, much of the ship's crew remains wary of the new Imperial system itself, though still stands loyal to the uniform over ideology.

Laid down in 795, five years before the outbreak of the Nomad conflict, RNC Nestor was one of the many warships sent out by the Federal Republic as part of Operation Steinhammer. Constructed in a record 18 weeks, the Nestor was assigned to Panzerflotte Schiller, operating alongside the Battleship throughout their operations in the Omega systems. Upon the activation of Operation Steinhammer, the Schiller's task force, backed by sister ship Goethe and her own battlegroup, proceeded on a cloaked run to the Tau systems in order to ambush and capture Freelancer Edison Trent and the mysterious Daam K'vosh artifact. With intelligence gathered from local sources, the Schiller's battlegroup staged a cunning ambush at the edge of the in-system methane field, de-cloaking and revealing themselves, the Nestor at the head of the fleet's lineup. Despite the arrival of reinforcements, Panzerflotte Schiller maintained their positions, opening fire on the lone fighters.

During the battle, Nestor's hull had been hit countless times. The small strikecraft packing such high-end weaponry with a lack of standardized shielding was too much for even the pride of the Schiller's cruiser fleet. Her Commander, Kapitan Karl Leutzberg, gave the order to abandon ship, 30 men out of her 257 making it out of the warship in time. After the destruction of Panzerflotte Schiller and the subsequent escape of Trent and his compatriots deeper into the Barrier, the order was given by Konteradmiral von Hess of Panzerflotte Goethe to move in and secure survivors before returning to Rheinland proper. Scans were made of the wrecks of the Schiller's fleet, most of the ships either completely totaled or spaced. Nestor was noted as being 'tarnished, but relatively salvageable'. Months later, after the Rheinland defeat at Sektor-7 in Frankfurt and the subsequent end of the Nomad War, plans were made by the Rheinland special forces division to salvage what wrecks they could from the numerous ships they'd lost across Sirius. While most of the noted salvageable material came from Tohoku and the damaged ships in Sektor-7, Task Force Bielefelde was sent to the Tau sector to reclaim marked warships tagged for usable salvage. Among the ships recovered were three 90-ARKM-N9 Valkyries, the damaged Gunship Bhietigheim, and the Nestor herself.

Hauled in secret back to the restored shipyards at Schatten, the Nestor, as well as her compatriot in the Bhietigheim, were restored to working order and stationed as defensive assets in the event of another determined Bundschuh raid. Upgraded through the years, Nestor was eventually outfitted and transferred to the MND as a forward operations platform and heavy assault unit. After the chaos of the Fulda attack, however, she was placed into the care of the MND's forward operating battalion before being commandeered into Panzerflotte Freya as part of the Rheinland Military's northern fleet. Upon the rise of Konteradmiral von Meyer as the Panzerflotte's CO, Nestor with the rest of the fleet was moved back to Frankfurt, taking up positions within the system, primarily at Schatten as a defensive flotilla alongside the Koblenz.

At the outbreak of the Rheinland Civil War, Nestor's captain declared the ship's loyalty to the Federal Government, and was one of the many ships stationed at Schatten that participated in the destruction of Battleship Koblenz, following the latter's defection to the Imperial opposition. Nestor coordinated alongside Bundeswehr forces within the Westerwald, as well as partaking in numerous attacks against Imperial forces along the Ostautobahn. The ship itself is credited with the confirmed destruction of seven Imperial warships throughout the course of the war.

When the ceasefire was called, Nestor was subjected to considerable scrutiny by the conservative high command of the Imperial forces. Having been responsible for the loss of a considerable number of her own countrymen, many suspected that the ship's captain would face intense backlash for her actions, but Captain Oslo's position was ultimately defended by Konteradmiral von Meyer, who had argued that 'the civil war saw no one labeled a hero', and 'even the Captain was herself a victim'. The charges were eventually dismissed, and following slight modernizations after the war, Nestor returned to active service alongside Kriegsflotte Freya.

R.N.C. Bhietigheim

Constructed in 795 A.S. at Alster Shipyard in Hamburg, Gunship Bhietigheim was originally designed as a medium-scale support platform for the growing Schiller Panzerflotte. Completed after seven months of construction, the ship was at first slated for light duty along the north border with Liberty, intercepting roving Unioner terror wings and working in conjunction with the LSF at times to keep the border clear. After the outbreak of Rheinland hostilities across Sirius, Bhietigheim was pulled back from the border, leaving Panzerflotte Westfalen to take up the slack. She was finally merged with the Schiller's fleet as part of Operation Steinhammer, the ill-fated attempt to force freelancer Edison Trent to give up the Daam K'vosh artifact.

Bhietigheim, along with the rest of Panzerflotte Schiller, moved north to Tau-29, awaiting in ambush for their target. Once engaged, Bhietigheim, now tasked with defending the fleet from the 5 heavily armed warbirds they weren't designed against, covered the fleet to the best of her ability, but the technology of the newer, more versatile fighters of their enemy rendered the gunship useless. She, alongside the entirety of Panzerflotte Schiller, was lost, Bhietigheim taking significant damage and drifting near the wreckage of the warships she'd been tasked to defend. After the end of the war, Rheinland special operations division Bielefeld was ordered to recover whatever ships they could from the battle site in Tau-29. After being marked months earlier by Schlachtschiff Goethe, Bielefeld returned with several wrecks, the Bhietigheim being one of them. She was returned to the Schatten Facility in Frankfurt, where the ship was refitted and repressurized, serving as a guard dog alongside fellow Schiller warfleet survivor RNC Nestor.

For the nest few years, Bhietigheim was stationed with the Nestor and the rest of the Schatten Defense Flotilla, later being moved to operations with the Northern Fleet as part of Rheinwehr Panzerflotte Freya. The gunship, now equipped with anti-strikecraft capabilities, accompanied her charge as they gunned for the GMG and Kusari Navy in the Sigma cluster. Only recently was she reunited with her compatriot in the RNC Nestor once more, Panzerflotte Freya returning to Schatten as the guard for the Rheinwehr in Frankfurt.

PERSONAL HISTORY:

Alexander Samuel Kingston was born on July 17th, 792 A.S. to Daniel James Kingston and Veronica Martin-Kingston. His father worked primarily as a business consultant for a Cambridge-based shipping company, and his mother was a student at Cambridge University. His father absolutely despised his job, and his mother finished with her PhD in medicine around his fourth birthday. She got a job as a nurse aboard Cambridge Research Station, and gave birth to Alex's twin brother and sister, Nicole and Trevor, not long after his fifth birthday. The two, a pair of identical twins, in their years after birth would soon look up to Alex for the knowledge and care that they needed, when their parents weren't off doing something else.

About a month after Alex's eighth birthday, the whole family moved to Planet Stuttgart, in the wake of Alex's father's dismissal from his job. They did what they could to make money and provide for themselves, but the wake of the Rheinland Government sweeping over their colonies took it's toll, and once the relations between Rheinland and the other houses came to an end, the family moved again to Planet Pittsburgh. There, they stayed for another ten years, where Alex and his father worked as mineral excavators, digging up the raw Boron that would fuel the planet's mining economy. When Alex's father got an opportunity to fly as a transport captain for BMM, he jumped at the chance, and the family moved one more to Planet Leeds, where despite the smoggy locale, was significantly better than Pittsburgh.

By this time, Alex had received his pilots license, and had bought himself a CTE-6000 "Eagle"-class Heavy Fighter, setting off on short trips to the nearby Tau systems to get a feel for both the fighter controls, and the space around him. He remained close to Leeds so he could continue to support his brother and sister. He signed on for a position as an escort pilot for Interspace Commerce, hoping the position would help him see the places he'd heard of from many other experienced freelancers. When the war between Kusari and Bretonia broke out, Interspace let him go, seeing no need for his expertise anymore.

Having been let go, Alex, seeing his homeland under attack, enlisted in the Bretonian Armed Forces to lend his hand to the defense. He fought alongside many other pilots, some of whom fought for the same reasons he did, while others fought because they savored the action. Regardless, the fight against Kusari was a bloody one, and despite his careful strictness to protocol, he found himself in many a dire situation, even beside his well trained comrades. He'd reached the rank of Commander in the Armed Forces before he'd decided that he'd had enough of the continual bloodshed against the Kusari Naval Forces. He resigned, and moved to Liberty, where he stayed for about a year, trying his best to enjoy the quiet life.

He found no such enjoyment. While he was glad to be off the battleground of Leeds, the quiet was what irked him the most, which prompted him to apply for the Liberty Navy's Primary Fleet. Alongside another Cadet, Benjamin Cohen, he was accepted, and slowly, but steadily, rose through the ranks. While his first few weeks under the Navy's banner weren't all too impressive, his constant patrol reports and dedication to duties helped him ascend. It wasn't long before Alex was a keen model to those around him, inspiring recruits and always keeping the spirit of victory alive.

Less than a month before his 31st birthday, he was injured in an off-duty attack which ended with a shattered fibula and a gunshot wound to his shoulder, forcing him out of action and on leave for nearly two weeks. Through his time off duty, he spent the majority of it at his home on Denver, and what time he didn't, he spent at a hospital not far away. When he returned to active duty, he was kept on watch, his wounds while healed still showed tension that required him to work lighter than he usually did.

Not long after he was pulled back into service, Kingston applied for the Navy's External Security and Research Division, believing that his time in the service, as well as his dedication to his duty and consistency, would prove useful to the defense of Liberty. This transfer to the E.S.R.D. proved helpful in the wake of the Navy's exploration of the New York Anomaly, which appeared in front of the capital on July 17th, 823 A.S.. Alongside Lt. Cmdr. Jason Hirlerman, Lieutenant Ryan Dagnino and Admiral Natalie Reaser aboard the L.N.S. Nevada, they proceeded through. The encounter with alien force, alongside those of the other three houses and the Order, was grueling to say the least, and Kingston was eventually shot down while attempting to cover the H.M.S. Dauntless' retreat after the main objective was completed.

He was pulled in, returned to Liberty alongside Lt. Cmdr. Hirlerman, Lt. Dagnino and Admiral Reaser, having all gone through screening on the Cambridge Institute to clear for nomad infection. After the operation, they were all returned to Liberty, the remaining Navy pilots who fell in the fight having been returned by a rather selfless Order Colonel named Jeremy Hunter. After he returned to Manhattan, he was contacted by Hunter himself, who met him in California. They discussed the details, both overlying and underlying, of the scene they witnessed in Major.

With the recent acts undertaken by the Liberty Security Force, as well as fiance's claimed personal attack by the L.S.F., has spurred him to have an ever growing resentment for them. With their actions becoming more brazen by the day, and their indirect involvement in the death of 5th Fleet Admiral Jack O'Neill, and the kidnapping of Vice Admiral Alexis Hunter by infested forces, his tolerance for them is almost nonexistent. Were it not for certain LSF operatives being cooperative, he would simply dismiss them as another fugitive group eyeing as an intelligence corp gone rogue.

Nowadays, he mainly runs operations from the command station aboard the L.N.S. Utah, a "Longbow"-class siege cruiser granted to him as part of the defense of Virginia and Liberty from the LSF. Alongside his comrade and friend Avery Reeves, and his station aboard the Dreadnought Salem, they remain vigilant, keeping watch over Liberty, a Paragon and a Sentinel defending their oaths to their last breaths.

Born on the icy Planet Le Mans, Elisa was the daughter of two rather poor settlers who hadn't been on Le Mans for long. Her parents were both killed weeks after her 4th birthday in a snowstorm that ravaged a small settlement, forcing her uncle, a native to the planet, to take her in. Once she turned 14, she got a part-time job as a maintenance aid, assisting the equipment dealer with fitting and lifting. She did this for about two years, until she fell into a slick of oil and was burned, scarring 80% of the left side of her body save her face and neck.

Once she recovered, her uncle signed her on as a resource miner for the Gallic Metal Service, which lasted for about 2 years. Nearing the end of her service, she met her to-be husband, Colonel Richard Cellier. They wed later that year, and had one son, Killian. For eight years, Elisa nurtured Killian, but his father tried more and more to focus him on the path of becoming his successor. Once the Navy followed the Council into Sirius, Richard took Killian to a recruiting center, and had him inducted into the Gallic Royal Navy Ground Forces. He was to be tested in battle, under his father's supervision, in the Champagne system, in one of the many futile attempts to take back the Courville Wreck. This plan, like the others before it, was a doomed one in the end, and Killian, as well as over 40 Navy servicemen, were killed as the rest of the Navy forces retreated back through the jump gate.

Fleeing to Sirius soon after, fueled by anger, she soon joined the Bretonian Intelligence Service, and even sooner after the LSF. Working as a joint cover operative for both agencies, after the LSF's breach of security resulting in the LSF's takeover of Alaska alongside the Harmony rebels, Elisa, now under the name of Alissa Murray, transferred to the Liberty Navy's 5th Fleet as a high ranking intelligence and research director, overseeing their development branch. In time, she eventually parted with the 5th, alongside a piece of prototype weaponry, seeing it's transferral to the Navy's 3rd Fleet, where she maintains her position as the Fleet's Director of OSCD.

Born in Bretonia, and nearly instantly orphaned, Allison J. Hunter (the J stands for 'J') was adopted and raised by James Hunter on New London, keeping a close eye on his only child throughout her childhood. Once of age, they moved to Liberty, where Allison would be able to bear witness to the relapse of the Fort Bush bombings, turning her forever. In a stand of patriotism, she enlisted with the Liberty Navy, using the war against Rheinland to not only further her way through the Navy's ranks, reaching Commander, but also defending her new home from the threat of southern invasion.

Being placed into the Third Fleet's realm of operation, she was soon assigned to the Battleship Omaha, under the command of Captain Allen B. Bradley, a fellow patriot, if self-proclaiming egotist. Bradley, however, would very quickly stunt her rise among the ranks, keeping his command over the ship and ensuring her promotions were kept at bay. Quickly fed up with this, and seeking an alternate route, Hunter was approached by the Third Fleet's operating XO, Vice Admiral Michelle Collins, who informed her via leaflets of Battlegroup Harmony, a separatist-focused faction holing up in the south of Liberty.

With a rush to bypass Bradley, and with concern as to the information shown in the leaflets, Hunter contacted the Battlegroup, the reply dishing orders she'd readily followed. Before her defection, Hunter was placed in command of a 'Victory'-class Siege Cruiser, the L.N.S. Shamrock Bay, the crew of which seemed willing, if a bit skeptical, of this course. Once through the breach, the ship was outfitted, repurposed and soon began to operate in the field, the vessel soon beginning to claim warships in the name of the 'purge' Hunter so elegantly speaks of. Accompanied by her XO, Jonas Gates, Captain Hunter continues to do the Battlegroup proud, the artillery of the warships she commands acting like a hound of dogs barking at Liberty's front door.

Born the child of an Orbital Spa & Cruise waitress and a Junker, Alecti never knew much about his father. The two were separated by the end of his third year, and due to a mishap with Corsairs in Omicron Gamma, his father was killed without him even knowing. His mother, Cindy, did her best to raise Alecti, and on her salary, she was certainly able to. She nurtured him until he became of age, where he departed and moved on to become a workerman for Ageira Technologies, hauling freight and cargo, and occasionally escorting shipments.

He wouldn't stay with Ageira for any extended time, however, as a mishap with a shipment of Trade Lane parts went awry, and he was let go on good terms. With his rather abrupt shade of unemployment, Alecti moved to follow a rather blunt way to make cash for himself. While he wasn't strapped for it, more money always helped, and in some ways he believed himself to be doing right, even when he wasn't. He signed on as a Bounty Hunter, escorting more pilots and taking down criminals who had become a bit too notorious. While this lasted for some time, and he rather did enjoy keeping people safe, one notable instance of a DSE convoy struck him down the path he now follows.

The DSE convoy in question, one bound from Baltimore to the Kensington shipping platform, was intercepted enroute by Lane Hackers. While there were a few too many for him to take on alone, he knew that with the convoy's support, they could easily outpower the Hackers. However, the convoy lead opted to leave Baukmer for dead, and rushed off with the rest of the convoy's escorts and firepower, leaving Alecti without backup and stranded a fair distance from his home planet of Curacao. He survived that day, by a miracle of luck, but to this day he resents DSE, as well as their pilots and captains. What support he got back from their chain of leadership was more of a slap to the face.

While recovering from Hacker attack in Cortez, Alecti was contacted by a pilot of the Hellfire Legion. He convinced him that the DSE convoy was corrupted by the same chain of leadership that was corrupting Liberty, and persuaded him to enlist in the Legion. While Alecti soon found that the ideals of the Legion were compatible with his own, he couldn't quite stomach the Legion's sheer ferocity and extremity, specifically in the field of torture.. This prompted him to look elsewhere, soon finding the same mindset within the Xenos Movement. Leaving the Legion with his rather closely attached Prosecutor fighter, he made his way to Ouray, where he made contact with Faye Monroe, the lead of a new branch of Xenos within the Movement, the Knights of Labor.

Born, raised and trained on the temperate home of his family, Frank de Villiers began his life as the son of any prominent noble. Living with his two sisters, Annebelle and Rachelle, his noble father and mother, and his loyal servant and friend Jacque Allard, Frank quickly learned at a young age that his father's role in the Royal Navy would be his own in due time. Because of this, he was pampered, conditioned into a full descendant of his father, put through Naval school and trained to be a tactical workhorse.

By the time of his eventual enlistment, Frank had become a near mental duplicate of his father, surpassing the elder by nearly three years of conceptual tacticianship. Because of this, it didn't take Frank long to rise through the ranks, ascending like a winged angel to the command of his father's old ship, a 'Valor'-class battleship christened the 'Revelation'. The ship didn't make the man, but vise versa proved otherwise, wherein the Revelation, helmed and operated by some of his father's finest men, stood off against the head of the enemy Council force in Languedoc, which was only a fraction of the main force that slipped away. Regardless, the Revelation stood fast, de Villiers putting the remaining forces to the sword in what would be the most single-sided engagement of the ship's career.

Named the 'Liberator of Quillan' by his fellow crewmates, for leading the attack in knowledgement of his possibility of brutal failure, Frank was bestowed the privileged name of 'Sir', a title only kept by those knighted under the King's trusted banner. Following that, the Revelation and her battlegroup continued to pursue the Council, de Villiers fueled by a desire to serve the crown in any way possible, which to him meant following and engaging the Council wherever possible. This lead him to the newly formed La Nouvelle Avant-Garde, where he and his ship were inducted fully, the title of General being bestowed to him.

Frank de Villiers is typically known by his peers, men and comrades as a two sided coin, often conversing lines of honorable talk with the enemy before pouncing like a leopard. More often than not, however, he will usually default to his noble heritage, and speak to the enemy as if they were equals. Casual, if unorthodox, requests to stand down, promises of well kept imprisonment, and even the request at one point to try and win an enemy pilot's heart, de Villiers is an unusual specimen indeed.

Born on the resort world of Nevers in the Border Worlds of Gallia, Isaac had a rather strong attachment to the nation he'd been born to since his early childhood. Being a quick learner and a true follower of the ideal of political and individual freedom today held so closely by the Council, he was a natural at getting himself into trouble, and at many points in his youth found himself all too often within the confines of a small cell awaiting his parents to come and retrieve him.

He attended a small-time graduate school on Planet Orleans, but didn't leave with anything more than a desire to join the military. While not enlisting as soon as he was of age, Isaac had awaited until his tuition at school was complete before signing his name off to the Marine Royale. For ten years he'd serve the Marine, fighting Council forces in the Border Worlds and pirates at home. At times, he'd question his role as a pilot of the king, and this additive of hesitation to his routine would spark the end of his career at the hands of the Council. On a routine flight through Orkney after the start of the invasion, Isaac would be captured, his wingmates killed, and taken to the Council's then-hidden bastion of Roussillon. Due to his upbringing during the starting years of the war, what was expected to be a lengthy interrogation soon evolved into a plea for asylum, having learned the truths of the Royalists' actions against their enemies.

He was soon inducted into the Council's Liberation Navy, and through strong effort and little respite, he'd gained the trust and leadership of a true fleet captain. Commanding the strength of the famed Saignant Diable, a Redemption with the power to rain hell from above, he was finally where he belonged, and while he holds no joy in killing his former allies, he does in knowing their deaths means a freer Gallia.

Birthed from the refit of numerous outdated Royal Navy battleships, the Saignant Diable was one of the first few 'Redemption'-class warships put into service for the Council's Libertation Navy. Based off the defunct R.N.S. Vérité, C.L.N. Saignant Diable rolled out of Chalons-en-Champagne in time to fly with the rest of the Council's forces southwards. Running alongside the Pamiers and De Grasse, she continued on with the Council's mission, operating primarily with the southern fleet on towards Roussillon and the Orkney defensive.

In 741 A.S., she was officially assigned to Battleship Oblique's detail following the defection of the crew. With the ship's proximity to the Tau-23 system, Saignant Diable was allowed to incorporate raids of the nearby R.N.S. Guillestre into the Oblique's role as a forward battlegroup. However, with the Council's assault into Picardy from the north and the Royal Navy's invasion of New London, the order was given for the Oblique to begin its offensive into the neighboring Provence system to set the stage for the invasion of Ile-de-France. Oblique, the Saignant Diable and the rest of the force backed by the Crayter Military mobilized into Provence to face Battleship Arles and her defensive force. In the ensuing battle, Arles and Oblique were both lost, leaving the Council to withdraw for the time being to reorganize the effort.

With the mobilization of the De Grasse into Provence following the clash of Arles and Oblique, Saignant Diable and the rest of the Oblique's task force that survived the battle linked up and awaited the order from command to launch the assault. Once the order was given, the ships mobilized into Ile-de-France, and brought a swift end to the Royal regime.

Saignant Diable took up its place with the Council-backed Republique, and even after the formation of the Confederacy, the war with Kusari, and the subsequent reformation into the Gallic Union, the ship and its staff remain on the side of Gallia as a whole. The ship and its station with the 12th Gallic Defense Flotilla remain in service, though have lost some personnel aboard other vessels to the streak of defections that ravaged the Navy after the Enclave's incorporation.

Gallic Battleship Strasbourg is a sub-modern carrier-armed battleship of the "Charlemagne"-class, constructed during the period of rapid military expansion before the onset of the Second Gallic Civil War. As with most Charlemagne-class battleships, she was designed with area occupation in mind, and therefore maintains a plethora of strikecraft bays and refueling arms built into the hull for supplying patrols. Her engine configuration is unique among ships of her class, dating to her incorporation into the Confederal Defense Forces, and remains a talking point among many of the crews she operates alongside.

Originally deployed as part of the Quillan Royal Defense Force at the onset of the Second Gallic Civil War, Strasbourg was re-deployed to reinforce Royal Naval units at Border Station Montpelier once word had hit of the Marne Uprising. Though light Council opposition began to quickly mount as the Council Fleet tore through the Gallic Border Worlds, the ship's mettle was thoroughly tested during the Siege of Languedoc, and along with Battleship Cassard, Strasbourg was quickly disabled by suicidal ramming attacks by Council warships.

The ship laid among the wrecks near Montpelier for much of the rest of the war. As Council forces marched on New Paris, and Royal Naval forces began desperate methods against Bretonia on the front, the newly founded Minarchy of Provence began combing through the wrecks from the fighting, and the Strasbourg's hull was hauled back to Fourchambault Shipyard for repressurization and commissioning into the soon-to-be-founded Confederal Defense Forces. Due to damage to her engine core from the same attacks that crippled her initially, Minarchy engineers put their expertise to the test, and after a year of reconstruction, the ship was moved to Rambouillet Shipyard under her own power for proper modernization.

After the formation of the Gallic Union, Strasbourg was reassigned to the Quillan Defense Force once more, and operates primarily as a hub for patrols into the southern fringes of Languedoc.

Gallic Destroyer Liberation was designed, like most other 'Penance'-class Destroyers, with the idea of a light, maneuverable and heavily armed warship 'dancing' around the battlefield. The ship itself called for a reinforced, but not heavy, frame capable of taking some hits and performing under stress, but not in an all out brawl. The crew, pulled from some of the most battle-hardened of the Council's northern flotilla, have been tested through action on Obstinate-class warships, the commander plucked from the executive of the Oblique's battlegroup shortly before her date with fate.

Recently completed in late 741 A.G.S. and then assigned to the Oblique's fleet as a support ship, the C.L.N. Liberation made a name for herself during the breach into Provence. Alongside her command ship, C.L.N. Saignant Diable, she was responsible for the defeat of over a dozen of the Arles' defensive flotilla, including the command ship itself after the Oblique's destruction. With the eventual deployment of the De Grasse to the Provence system after the loss of much of the Oblique's force, the order was given for the Liberation to covertly relocate to the Picardy system, where she participated in skirmishes against the forces of R.N.S. Saumur until the climactic Battle of New Paris.

After the end of the war, the ship remained at the side of her command ship, Saignant Diable, and assisted in exercising the Republique's control over its designated systems. The war with Kusari saw the ship rarely in action, separated from its command group for refits at Haute-Siene. She arrived too late to do much during the war, but what action she did partake in sealed Gallic victory in each case. The final battle in Languedoc saw the ship crippled during the showdown, and once more she was sent to Haute-Siene for repairs.

An aging chassis, speculation was made as to whether it was fit to upgrade the ship to the newer 'Gallant'-class configuration, but after outcry from some of the other ships that served alongside, as well as the crew itself, repairs and minor refits were made instead. With the mass defection of many ex-Council assets to the Maquis, the ship's presence within the newly formed Gallic Navy are every bit as important as they were during her tenure in the Council's Liberation Navy.

Maquis Battlecruiser Indépendance began her existence as Royal Navy Battlecruiser Languedoc, constructed in 737 A.G.S. to serve as a front-line warship against the Bretonian Armed Forces. However, she was recently recalled to the home theatre after threat of the Council's invasion into Picardy. Having been stationed with Battleship Saumur, the Languedoc took part in a failed raid on the Haute-Siene Shipyard Complex, being among the several warships disabled in the raid. Her hulk, noticed by the Council to be salvageable, was hauled through the anomaly into Champagne and put to work at Chalons-en-Champagne.

Indépendance was one of the final few 'Obstinate'-class battlecruisers produced by Chalons-en-Champagne before the fall of the Monarchy, put into service with the Council's Liberation Navy during the final preparation phases for the liberation of Ile-de-France. At the time, the ship was crewed by a relatively green team of personnel, brought in from a motley band of rogues, pirates, and rambunctious citizens who wanted to see the Crown burn.

After the fall of the Kingdom, the ship was relegated to patrol work in the south, clashing regularly with Enclave forces in Languedoc and Tau-23, and grew a rather brutal reputation for in-field ferocity. No ship they'd engaged survived long enough to either be scuttled by its own crew or captured by Confederal ones, which put the commander of the ship at distance with her own superiors.

After the devastating war with Kusari, and the subsequent incorporation of the Enclave into the Gallic government, the ship's crew reactivated communications with their former allies in the Maquis, and with the defection of the Pamiers and her cohort, it wasn't long before the ship itself joined them. The ship today serves as a frontline warship against the Union, participating in raids and other 'terrorist' activities, and with formal military training from the Council, they're certainly a force to be reckoned with.

A Crayterian through and through, Lisa Combes is a rather hardline, passionate member of the Crayterian Military dead set on securing Crayter's position within Sirius.

Born in the Crayter Sector itself, Lisa was one of the fortunate souls to make it after the exodus from Crayter, carried aboard the Crayter Picket Destroyer Ophiuchus. After years of travel, intrigue and scandal, Lisa and the Colonials began to rebuild their lives within the distant Tau-44 system. For several years, the level of diplomatic fluff that had pestered Crayterian life was beginning to transition out for a time of peace. The nearby war between Kusari and Bretonia raged on nearby, but with proper defenses laid up for the new Crayterian homeland, the way was clear for Lisa and her family to begin life anew within Sirius.

.. until Gallia arrived.

At twenty-one years, Lisa was once more shoved from her life and into exile with the Crayterian populace, taking refuge with the IMG in the Coronado system. Furious at the loss of her new home, Lisa enlisted with the Crayter Military, seeking to overthrow the Kingdom and liberate her home from tyranny. She rose through the ranks, taking personal pleasure in ensuring that each and every Gallic pilot and captain she'd come across would be left in the same state they'd left Crayter in with Tau-44.

Ten whole years of war raged, and with the capture of Tau-31, the liberation of Tau-44 and the sacking of Leeds, Combes had arisen to the prominent position of Admiral within the Military. Only recently, with the backing down of Admiral Townley, would Lisa take the position of Admiral of the Fleet, poised to begin a new golden age for the Crayterian people. For the Outcasts in particular she holds no sympathy, though their rebels are a pleasant change. Old alliances will likely be reforged, and her stern but strong ideology is expected to be a boon for the Crayter people.

A by-blood native of the house of Liberty, Trevor Westbrook is the mind and soul behind much of what the Crayter Military is known to behold. Having served the Republic with distinction for well over ten years of his life, Crayter is as much to him as he is to the state.

Originally a Manhattan native, Westbrook grew up skirting the poverty line with a family of known delinquents, especially the sister he'd never remember. Looking for a path out of the economic gutter, he enlisted with the Liberty Navy's Third Fleet, serving with distinction through the events of the Nomad War, the rising conflict with the Hellfire Legion and plenty of experience dealing with the deep end of the law. Along his twelfth year with the Navy, having earned a reputation as a strong-willed if sarcastic officer, he was officially relieved of duty and moved to Curacao to figure out what to do with his life.

Upon the arrival of the Crayter Republic in the independent worlds after their exile from the Tau systems, Trevor moved to Pecos, intrigued by the idea of a settler's life, and looking to aid those who had grown up on the same path he had. This lead him to the Crayter Military, and eventually to the seat of the Ministry of Defense. His service to the Military and Republic, while a tad chaotic, was a strong time for Crayter, a period where the Military operated alongside their allies with a strength and fervor unseen since the days of the Crayter sector itself. A very passionate and driven man, Westbrook holds a strong dedication to Crayter's ideals, and while he may not fully understand it, the phrase 'For Those We Left Behind' is a motto he'll gladly die shouting.

As is typical for most Crayterians, he holds a strong grudge against the Outcasts as well as the Gallic Royal Navy. His period of service with the Liberty Navy has taught him to be wary o of other pirates, especially those of Liberty's cloth. Lane Hackers especially receive a strong sense of disdain from Westbrook, though this is closely followed by most other Sirian unlawfuls.
He holds a very high regard for the Order, knowing that without them the Nomad War would have been lost easily. Crayter's ties to them only helps strengthen that regard, and it's due to this that any insight into the Nomads is usually firstly accepted from the Order. The Council are also among this clan of high regard, seeing democracy as the only path for Gallia to feasibly follow. Their common enemy being the Royal Navy is a plus, but it's due to these values of freedom and liberty that ring high to him.
More shallowly on this board is the newly declared Republic of Malta, though it's safe to say that not many within Crayter even fully know who they are aside from anyone within the Military. He keeps a strong air of caution when dealing with them, knowing that any child of Malta is to be treated with suspicion.

Born on the terraforming world of Harris, Karen Grey had a fairly rough childhood. Several near-miss encounters left her a somewhat battered woman before she'd ever left the surface, and numerous scars and pock-marked burns littered her body. After earning her wings, she'd left the planet behind to find her fortune in Liberty, taking time as a gun-for-hire and escort pilot for freelance shipping through the Republic's space. Being present for a fight between local Liberty Navy forces and a pack of Rogues, ad having taken part due to her contract with the DSE employee she was employed to at the time, the Navy took note of her skill in a fight. It wouldn't be long before she was going through the testing classes at West Point to begin her notable though short career in the Navy.

She served with distinction for half of the mandatory eight years before being drummed out by a corrupt officer in her division's command. To a degree it was a frustrating time for her, though at the same time a relief from the strict course of the Navy's structure. This gave her the unique opportunity to return to mercenary work long enough to meet a captain of Integral Systems Engineering, a shipping and construction firm for the Crayter Republic, much like DSE is to Liberty.

Much about the burgeoning Crayterian Republic caught her interest; The small-scale of their operation, the visibly personalized stature of the men and women in charge and the story of their arrival in Sirius all caught her eye and urged her to apply for citizenship in 820 A.S. For about 7 months, she'd serve as an occasional contractor for ISE, running escort and hit and run missions on local Outcast ships in exchange for payment via credits and a place to base out of. In time, her exerience with the Liberty Navy began to nag at her, and she applied in 821 A.S. to the Crayter Military. With such a prestigious unit under her command, even her old mentor's eyes are still upon her, and so far she has yet to disappoint.

Having recently taken part in Operation: Vanguard, Grey is currently in the process of reacclimating to the situation in the Taus. With the 3rd's completion of quick refits, it's only a matter of time before she is brought along to another devastating defeat for the Royal Navy.

A rare sight within the Legacy's ranks, Genevieve is an example of a Gallic officer accepting the errors of their orders. Formerly a Captain within the Gallic Royal Navy prior to the push into New London, Villeneuve took part in operations within Tau-23 that usually based from her command station aboard the Battleship Guillestre. Taking a few recruits out for a patrol into the neighboring systems, her flight landed aboard the strategically hot Freeport 6, where the Zoners were reluctant to accept her and her escorts aboard. During their short stay for refueling and rearming, she heard local gossip around a group identified as 'The Order', as well as their mission to unite the colonies against the 'Nomad Threat'. While normally not one to listen to gossip, she pressed on, finishing her patrol and returning to regular duty, though the thought stayed in her mind for weeks to come.

Approximately eight weeks before the invasion of New London, and during the latter half of the occupation of Leeds, the casualties planetside had finally begun mounting, and new orders from the Royal Navy's command poured in of more brutal tactics to keep the populace contained. While the nagging feeling of something wrong pulsed at the back of her head, and the overlying threat of the mysterious 'Nomads' loomed over her, she took a snap decision that ended up saving her life. Six weeks before the invasion, she defected, traveling northward towards Freeport 10 in the hopes that the Zoners there would be able to connect her with this mysterious group that she'd head a fair bit about after digging into articles from the IMG on Java.

The Legacy cell contacted her in the early years of their development, organizing a party to bring the deserter to Akabat for screening and inquiry. Within a month, she was serving the cell with full colors, now aware of the threat that not only Sirius but Gallia faced as well. Having served with distinction, she now operates as the Legacy's primary ear in Gallia, commanding the Gallic Overwatch and ensuring that the Nomad threat remains out of her homeland.
