As you read this, a glorious new age is dawning, an age of victory and conquest. The resources of Triple Hazard Pay, Inc. have gathered together and are preparing a direct assault on the heathen homeworld of the Cretan wretches. We have already witnessed the fury of your fleets crushing the Corsair menace under your heel, and would like to offer you a time-saver so your wrath may be delivered that much quicker.

One of your Storta-class Cruisers, the Palantina if I’m not mistaken, encountered the Mama Brick in Omicron Alpha and issued a probationary permit for us to bring your goods to the heart of Cretan territory directly, under its captain’s strict supervision, of course. Elements of The Commune joined us for that bold sally. What we found was a massive Corsair blockade around Crete, and the odd cloaked ship requesting to dock. This could have been the end for us if not for the ballsiness of the Commune pilots, as well as the Maltese relief force that arrived through Omicron Xi.

To actual business. We are here to humbly petition for a standing permit to operate a Jump Drive in Maltese space, so as to bring your goods to farther reaches of space than conventionally possible in the same amount of time. Furthermore, being as we have a common interest in keeping the Corsair population down, any Maltese raiders headed to Crete would be more than welcome to jump, no pun intended, aboard. Regardless, the presence of THP vessels in that benighted lawless region will mean plenty of cassus belli for fleets to march on Crete. Rumor has it they have a spy network that lets them know the moment a THP ship takes off laden down with Maltese craftsmanship, which would explain the hastily-forming blockade we saw on our second sortie into the beast’s lair.

For the good of both of those we are responsible for, we are obliged to ask you for this simple favor. I guarantee you won’t regret this, and I have a pile of Corsair ships destroyed far earlier than expected underwriting my guarantee.
