Something's up with my keyboard. I was in game with no problems when I had to leave, so I closed the game, closed the laptop's lid and went about my day. Upon returning, I opened the lid and found that my number two-button was constantly pressing, but the keyboard was untouched and I'm 100% sure I've never made a mess on it with any liquid (I keep it very clean) and there is nothing stuck under the button. Pressing the two button made it stop, but pressing it again did nothing. It didn't register. I restarted the laptop twice, once normally and once with nothing plugged in, but the problem stayed.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on or how I can fix it?

Kinda sounds like the contact under the keys that sends the signal that its been pressed is either stuck or broke. im not real sure

i doubt really uninstalling the keyboard from device manager would work, that would be total last resort. maybe search around on bing.com to see if theres anything that relates to the same model laptop you have, another thing you can do is post over at techsupportforum.com and see if they have any ideas, i posted over there when i was 13 decoding BSODs ( i went by name of warlordfmike ) they might be able to help.

Pop the key off and clean out the sensor underneath. I have done it a few times. Google your make and model of the laptop you have and add "fix Sticky key on keyboard". There are a few videos on how to do it.

Page of Videos on how to do it.

NOW....DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. But a no tech skilled dude like me has done it safely a few dozen times or so.
