Owner's or organization's affiliation and a brief description of the owner's or the organization's activities: The Liberty Navy Third Fleet, currently commanded by Admiral Mark Ferguson, is the central guard force for the Liberty Navy, communicating with LIBWESTCOM and LIBGUARDCOM. Currently the Third Fleet commands the firepower of about fifteen warships, and defends not only Virginia and neighboring systems, but also contributes to the frontline war effort in Magellan and Leeds, basing itself in California.

System and Coordinates of Base (or you may send these privately): Sector 4-Delta | Across from the Los Angeles Docking Ring, in the previous location of the Battleship L.N.S. Yukon

Reason(s) for Construction: Local defense for the Los Angeles skyline and surrounding area, as well as the placement of official Third Fleet Command HQ. The shipyard will also serve as a localized ship maintenance facility for both Navy and civilian vessels.

3rd Liberty Navy Fleet;

Thank you for registering your base. Payment exemption under Laws of Liberty, Section Two, Subsection 1, has been confirmed. However the location proposed, former position of Battleship Yukon, is found rather problematic due to interference with Navy Strategic command plans for warship positioning as well as possible interference with commerce traffic. Therefore you are required to build the base in a location where it does not cause any possible issues. We would suggest the Eastern side of Planet LA or a distance of 2.5-3k from the docking ring.
