Yesterday whilst in conclusion of discussions with Vice Admiral Hale of the Liberty Navy, the New York outposts reported sighting of 2 approaching vessels of alien design. These "nomads" as they apparantly are referred to, proceeded to evade the Liberty Navy patrlos and were soon at large in the New York system. They soon commenced transmitting some form of telepathic signals, seemingly in an attmept to dominate all our minds and bend us to their will. Many of the crew of the Britannia reported hearing voices in their heads, whilst a few experienced severe headaches, confusion, and even fainting. Noting the immediate danger to our lives, and that of the Ambassador who's mind the creatures were attempting to seek out, I authorised Captain Johnson of the Britannia to activate the untested prototype device recently installed by the Military Engineering division of the Cambridge Research Institute, apparantly developed in secret onboard Sunderland Research Station.

Upon activation of the Neural Dampening Shield, we were able to block out the creatures' mind signals for about a 5K radius around the Britannia, protecting our crew and those of the nearby Liberty Navy ships including Vice Admiral Hale from their harmful influence.

Unfortunately, a civilian vessel which ignored our advice and ventured outside of this protective zone quickly fell under the influence of the aliens, and through some form of mental domination he was used by them to attack us on the Embassy, evidently trying to disable our Neural Shielding. Despite our reactors being pushed to the limit, and some severe damage to the top decks of the Britannia, he was eventually fended off by strong Liberty Navy escorts, and we were able to keep the Neural Dampening Shield active with the help of a power coupling transfer from the LNS Louisberg Fortress.

After another futile attempt to force their minds past our anti-telepathic protection the nomads gave up and appeared to vanish from the system.

Whilst I can happily confirm the effectiveness of this prototype Neural Dampening Shield Device, I feel I must point out how close to disaster this incident nearly came, with our reactors operating at over 95% capacity, and the Ambassador in danger of being possessed by alien spirits should our defences have failed. Both our staff and the Liberty Navy crew present were all equally susceptible to the alien mind influence, and it is unkown what, if any, side effects the use of our Neural Dampening Shield to resist this will have had.

My recommendations, and those of Captain Johnson and Lord Braterford himself, are that more funding should be put into the development of our psionic technology, and that these Shields be installed on all our important government ships and installations.

During the event, prior to the activation of the Neural Dampening Shield Device, something happened. Onboard the Embassy HMS-Britannia, on of the crewmembers succumbed to the psionic powers of *It*. *It* had slight control over what the human was thinking.

The larva known only as Chattur'gha penetrated it's victim's mind.

*** Obey, -human-! ***

James was obviously amazed, as he was sitting in the quarters.
He shouted "What the?! who is there?"

...There was no one, everybody was above deck or at their stations.

*** Silence, -human-! ***

*It* causes headache to the unfortunate crewmember.

"AAAAAAAAH"

"Okay okay!"

*** SILENCE ***

*It* tortured James more.

*** *We* seek Mother ***
*** Help find *Community* ***
*** Help spread out *Our* cry, for *We* lost Mother ***

Another slighly different voice appeared. It was the other larva, S'thrak.

"How? Can't yo-AHHHH"

"Yes, Yes! Just stop hurting me!"

James tapped into in console and began to log into the long range comms system.
Bypassing the security he began broadcasting his message.

"They want me to send a message out to the ... err AHHH- Ahhh! The Community! the Community. They are lost and are searching for thier Mother"

The console blinked a warning. His transmission had been tracked back to his chambers. He did not have long.

*** Continue! Now! ***

"They are making me speak for them they want the comunity to hear their cry. They-"

The rooms door slid open to reveal two security team members. Over the comms the sounds of them dragging James to the floor as he screams in agony are heard before the transmission is cut.

Poor James now lies in medical, recovering from strange brain damage.

Subject: Urgent and secret report about Nomad sightings

Nomad activity has been located within Bretonia borders. 3 days ago, while doing all routine jobs like ... uhm... patrolling, reading newspapers *cough* I encountered those light beings.
Suddenly, I heard a voice in my head, which caused me a headache.
By now, I was still believing, that I forgot to take my pills. But, then again, I heard the voice. Maybe I have taken the wrong pills, but no. Everything was in order. I don't know why, but then I changed my patrol path, and set course for the Cambridge planet.
There they were, two of them. I heard stories about those creatures, something that your mother tell you to scare you when you are bad boy.
Jelly things, blue-purple colored. Nothing that I could ever compare with anything I saw earlier in life.
Their names S'thrak and Chattur'gha, like from worst horror movies. But, I could almost feel their pain. They were weakened, lost.
Then again another voice.
They promised to give me powers, that wouldn't be like any human would have, in exchange for... Not sure why, but they wanted something from me. Was it me, my body, or something that I could give them, I am still not sure, but when I refused to deal with those creatures, the pain increased. Then... slowly visions appeared...
I could describe as out of body experience. I wasnt in control of body, and I was losing every connection to it. Then, all that stoped.

Voice, know voice occured in my head...It was...a...my Fleet Admiral.

The Fleet Admiral came to the Cambridge area, and all traffic to the area was closed. I received orders to dock onboard the Cambridge research center, to recive treatment.
With time, my thoughts became more clear, but I was still in great shock. From what I heard after, Nomads tried the same thing with our Fleet Admiral, but I believe something I could describe as link between then and Admiral was broken after more Bretonia Armed ships arrived. Both of them vanished, with no trace left to follow.

In short:
Alien beings, know by the Cambridge scientists as "Nomads", tried to establish some sort of link, first with me, then with the Admirality. In both cases, they failed to, but I believe, they were very close in my case.
Their vessels I would describe as bright blue-purple colored shining things, with no detected ship parts, engines, cockpit, not even a something that I could call weapons. They mention something about a "Community", and pain they are feeling now.
I would also like to mention wide sorts of visions that I saw, and felt.
Onboard Cambridge reaserch center, I complited all exams, and after 48 hours at quarantine, I was dismissed to home care.
Today, I am feeling very well and ready for duty.
But, still, when sleeping, I can still hear voices...of S'thrak and Chattur'gha.

Prime Minister Lord Mountbatten had scarcely held his seat for a week before the weight of his new office began to weigh down on him. It seems that the path to power is paved with an endless number of datapads.

The latest issue before him was request from Sunderland Research Station's administrator for increased funding and support for the psionic shielding recently tested by the Bretonian Embassy ship in New York. Also included in that was a request to install a psionic shield on Cambridge Research Station, since the Nomads had been showing increased interest in that location, with no less than two visits there in as many days.

Lord Mountbatten signed off on the request, approving it despite the fact that it hurt the overall war effort by diverting much needed funds from other projects. Compared to the Nomads, though, the Kusari were a relatively minor threat. At least they're human, and a more easily understood threat.
