Official Announcement for Liberty

It gives me great pride to have been invited to roleplay President Powell of Liberty. I have chosen to accept this duty and have already set up the Presidents Luxury Liner Liberty One. Liberty One is an LSF Id'd and tagged Luxury Liner carrying all the commodities needed to make it seem as if it does indeed carry a high level member of government.

I will not be making any proclamations off my own back, anything that Powell may say or do on these forums or in game will be backed by all the Liberty Lawful factions. There is simply no other way to do it.

I invite kingvaliant to PM via the forums or Skype to discuss certain needs for the Liner as and when it goes outside of Planetary Orbit around Manhattan. Also to discuss some future events that could be done, such as meet and greets around the planets in Liberty, which would require the LSF's participation. I hope to work closely with the LSF on this as I believe that immediate security of the President would be handled by the LSF.

I completely disagree, Del is perfect for this role because he is one of the most knowledgeable people about Liberty RP on the whole server, not because he is an admin.

I was asked not because I am an Admin, but because I know liberty. I have no power at all to make policy, I am simply a voice for policy already there and yet to be created by those who do make the policy, the official factions. There will be events because I think they'll be fun and give folks an option to do some political minded RP in game and more importantly in Liberty, which we all know needs good RP events.

I fully agree on having Reverend Del to Role-play Liberty's President.
That will be a very interesting encounter with having the president escorted by a large amount of fighters/gunboats/bombers going wherever you go.

(What troubles me is that NPC demanding cargo issue, unless you got that solved so you can carry Admirals and those items that would make NPCs want 'em. I've seen a lot of players sit out in this open and dock again just because a NPC demanded that specific cargo.)

This character is a figurehead... Nothing more. There is infact a shadowy cabal of official faction leaders pulling the puppet-strings.

On a more serious note. This character is nothing more than a figurehead. The satire above really was only in tone and nothing more...

It's so we have someone who can roleplay the president at events. This character in no way increases the personal power of Del, nor anyone else. Infact decisions will be made by the official factions who -already- make the diplomatic decisions.
