Concensus of the Confederation of Freeports - All Administrators and Faction Representatives

Each Administrator of the CoF and each leading representant of the three major Zoner factions (OSI, TAZ, IRG) as well as the heads of MedForce One and The Seraphim are invited to formulate a public statement about their opinion about the offer to end the war between Zoners and the Core. This channel will be accessible only for members of mentioned Zoner groups until the 10. 10. 824 - 18:00 UTC. After that, the channel will be sirius-wide opened to reveal the statements to the public, and no further statements will be permitted.

This allows a public differentiation between the Zoners who actually wish to end this war and those who wish to continue it. More information can be found here.

Greetings, Administrator,

I must admit, my own knowledge of the conflict in the Omicrons is limited being on the other side of Sirius. The only info we get is from news report and rumors from passing traders and guests. I discredit most of them as we ALL know how truthful the news is and how hearsay is about as reliable.
We do know about the Core though and we know of them as a rather aggressive bunch. I also know nothing of the new Guildmistress. I will say this though, if they're finally willing to settle things diplomatically, I can support it. I'd offer our presence there but with dealing with Gallics and rogue Outcasts and having but two ships for the base and Tau patrols, that would be a problem. I COULD join by video conference if needed.
In short, let's give this a chance...for all parties concerned.

Well...

It is a shock to me that they have come forward to offer peace. It only took about several months to come back to the table. And as much as I want to fully put this behind us I cannot but pause from the statement that you have given previously. I'll go through each one line by line and explain.

I don't want to waste our people are resources here and you don't want to lose everything. There is an alternative, senor Akibara. I promise that you will keep your position and be fully supported by me. I promise full pardon to the people who did not commit anything serious. I promise giving a chance to leave for those who afraid to be punished. In exchange for the peace offer and giving us right to clean the Freeport from the criminals and terrorists. As you see, no one can protect the Freeport 11 properly. We will provide security and prosperity, once you let me to do it.

" I do believe that I had offered multiple times several options of peace with both Guildmasters Nova Hawken & Matt Bishop. Both declined them in full despite them being very generous towards the Core.

"I promise giving a chance to leave for those who afraid to be punished. " Do you now? And why should anyone on board Freeport Eleven have reason to be afraid? I do wonder indeed.

" In exchange for the peace offer and giving us right to clean the Freeport from the criminals and terrorists." This. Absolutely not. All I can forsee is bloodshed in the halls of a Freeport as people are gunned down. No.

"As you see, no one can protect the Freeport 11 properly. We will provide security and prosperity, once you let me to do it." So by this, you're saying that the Freeport under the guidance of myself, Finn McCool and others was never properly defended when in turn.... It's still standing and was rebuilt by many a man and woman without hesitation. You forget your place if the thought that only the Core can properly provide security once able to. This is nothing more than what I believe to be a serpents tongue whispering peace before biting the spoken.


These were the last notions offered for peace. I suggest you observe such for a moment before making such broad deals of skepticism:

Shared mineral extraction rights for Iridium and Azurite. Core to receive a 1k EC unit discount. Zoner Miners allowed full ability to use their crafts to work in Omicron Delta and Omicron Lost.

10k Exclusion Zone around Freeport 11 for Zoner Laws. Exclusion of hostile vessels on a request by request basis ONLY.

Core AND Order Vessels banned from Freeport 11 for mutual exclusion to disallow one side to gather resources directly from Zoners in Delta.

Any Zoner craft found with Nomadic materials are to have said materials destroyed on sight or handed over to Core Forces. No Exceptions.

I want a peaceful end to this conflict like any other, but it must be done so in the balance for both sides to prosper. No one side giving the other too much room. No 49% to 51%....

Good Afternoon Administrators, Board Members, and Fellow Zoners,

It is my belief that these negotiations must take place with the same spirit of corporation that has taken place for other Zoner Installations within controlled space; Such as Bethlehem, Ames, and Freeport 1. I believe it is time to acknowledge that The Core controls Omicron Delta, and to enter earnest negotiations regarding special privileges so that the Freedoms we have come to know, love and enjoy, continue. The Cores demand is quite simple, after all did not Liberty request the ability to clear Bethlehem of deemed 'enemies of the state'? Does not Bretiona protest when an enemy of their state docks to Freeport 1? The Core want rights we have already freely given out to Houses. And what really makes a House other than the ability to project power.
And project power the Core certainly can.

Good Day, Administrators.

I see that I have received an invite. For awhile now, Med Force Enterprises, namely, [MFE]Med Force Three under the command of Alicia Cook has been operating in relative peaceful co-existence with the Core. It was I who reached out to the Core leadership to reach a peaceful arrangement. To this point, it has worked. Trust me when I say that it took a lot for me to do that as I had to inform the families of two of my finest medical professionals who were working aboard Freeport 11 of the deaths of their son and daughter. Yes, I was angry and vowed never to deal with them but when I saw for myself Freeport 11 still hanging on but barely so, I can't bear the thought of losing more lives, including the two new doctors that have volunteered to work on station despite the dangers. They came to me, I did not ask. It was that act, that selfless offer they made that made me re-think my stance. I once read of adversity, "One can either let it build them up or bring them down." I choose the first.

An old friend of the Corsair Empire now long gone, Elder Miguel Sephardi long ago taught me in negotiations that at first, both sides will ask a lot knowing that they won't get everything they seek.
Mr. Brettonias, we go back a long way and you know of what I speak. Ultimately, it isn't the position of the Core as to who stays in power aboard Freeport 11. Yes, others have offered negotiations with past Guildmasters only to be met with force. This new guild mistress is new and perhaps sees that this assault of Freeport 11 gains them nothing. They have bigger problems then Zoners.

She speaks of terrorists and cleaning the halls of Freeport 11 of them. Now, I don't know all the details as to how this whole thing started but I read somewhere that it had to do with a couple of rogue Zoner Nephilims. I would need more on that but it's all I have to go on. I do agree though, no one is to "cleanse" Freeport 11 but the current administrator. As I am not a member of the CoF, I cannot nor will I dictate policy.

I go back to the lessons of Miguel Sephardi. The Core asks much. They know that they won't get all they ask for but no one will know for sure what the end result will be if Zoners don't try. Remember, Zoners are strongest when working together. I say that the CoF gives this process a chance. Med Force Enterprises, if desired, will participate. I will speak with Commander Cook to see if she might be interested in representing. I know she's not much for politics or diplomacy so if she won't, I'll see if I can make it myself. I swore never to wear the robes of diplomacy again but a good doctor can save lives with skills outside of medicine.

I will be awaiting a response.

Are you so easily swayed by the word peace that you forget who it is we are dealing with? Forget the atrocities they have committed against the Zoner people? All the actions they took against us whilst we continued trying to be diplomatic.
its THE CORE, it doesn't matter if its a new Guild leader, its just another head to the same hydra.

Tyrants and Dictators all, that's the Core. All the time we tried to sue for peace they continued their draconian ways, forcing their rules and killing any who did not fall in line. Its only now when its believed everyone is broken and defeated that they now come forth offering peace with the facade that they are the ones taking the high road. When have they cared about preserving lives other then their own?

This is nothing more then a formality to progress their goals of taking over with an iron clad fist. We will literally be giving them the keys to begin spreading across the Omicrons like a plague, they have already made it known they want to control the Omegas and Taus along with the Omicrons and this I'm afraid is something i cannot allow.

They are a Snake in the grass and I'm surprised at how some of you seem to think otherwise. I for one am not fooled by any of this, they are the same, they will not change, and i will be ready for them when they show the face we all know.

Moron you say, Mr. Voncloud. I prefer to called ignorant in this case since I don't have too many dealings with either the Core or the CoF. Mind you, I lost medical personnel in the mess. Their families, while they are angry with the Core, told me not to give up on my mission.
Years back, I found myself in the fray of Freeport 1 when the Bretonians threatened to take the base, when the Coalition decided to board it to get rid of the Corsairs, when the Corsairs occupied space around it to "secure" it from affore mentioned threats, all the while Zoners held strong. It's not perfect there but it's quiet again. Why? Talk. Eventually things were quieted. Unlike the Core, the leadership in Bretonia hasn't changed. The Core has someone new willing to to extend the olive branch.....or you can let them keep their siege going and kill more and to the victor will go the spoils.

There's nothing that says you have to accept their terms if you do sit down with them. You don't have to be friends with them hell you don't even have to like them. I think silence will be met with more force and from what I've seen, it can be ill afforded.

Perhaps Morons was harsh along with some of my other words.

But my stance itself is the same, i do not trust the Core they have given me no reason to, yes they have extended an olive branch but its been extended from a large thorn bush. They have us over a barrel when it comes to negotiations, because they know even if we say No they can just bulldoze their way through regardless.

I truly do hope that you can prove me wrong, that peace can be made that doesn't lead to the Core taking over the Omicrons as suspected, but i cannot shake this feeling that they wont stop at Delta. Livadia is in Kappa, right next door, whats to stop them moving into Kappa and just continuing what they started in Delta Instead of Freeport 11 its Livadia?.

If we are to go to the table, we have to go to it with our eyes fully open, its still the Core, this invitation for peace is a very very small start towards any kind of recompense, wounds are still fresh, distrust is still ripe, and we cannot brush away the potential for this to be a smoke screen, we have to be so Very very wary. There will be those within our people who will not be happy that we may be breaking bread with the Core, i know full well the Livadian Zoners are not at all happy with the prospect but i have got their support for the greater good.

We will not be going into these negotiations with a strong hand if any hand at all, and sitting with a group who not so long ago were committed to removing us from Delta by any means necessary. We must be vigilant is my final word on this matter.

No, we wouldn't be going into them with a strong hand but to not even try may make things worse. I think enough blood has been spilled. I think that we can agree on.

I earlier mentioned Freeport 1 and the mess it once was. Every Freeport has it's unique set of problems and each one has to negotiate in some way with people who would just assume rid their space of their presence. So yes, go to the table with not just your eyes wide open but your mind as well. I don't mind that recently, I was able to negotiate a peaceful arrangement with the Core. Granted, I haven't had the bad blood with them that you have but it enabled us to continue our work out here without a problem from the Core. It's a start with a new Guildmistress. As I said, to do nothing would be worse than at least trying. If needed, I will stand with you on this.

Greetings dear members of the Confederation, fellow members of our Community.

For those who haven't had the pleasure to meet me yet, I am Nicole Malakai, current Administrator of Freeport-5 and former Zoner Guard pilot who took part in defense of Freeport-11. I've got mixed feeling about The Core approaching us this way. New Guildmistress might be able to change something, on the other hand we should probably learn from our past. Our people, families, friends, guests were threatened by so many Guildmasters of The Core and it just left scars on our memory. I AGREE with Mr. Wingspan about the security of our Freeports and with Mr. Voncloud about other stuff.

We are able to protect our own stations and Freeports, after all nobody is threatening us but The Core.

On the other hand I would give them benefit of doubt. In the worst case we CAN stand up and fight for something our ancestors wanted to accomplish long, long ago. The Freedom.

However it's all up to you, dear Akibara. You're having the last word after all. Freeport-11 is your place, but Freeport-5 is standing behind you no matter what is going to happen.
