Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Julian Grayson, and I've been authorized by the Director of the Bretonian Secret Intelligence Service to contact you regarding the recent incident in the Frankfurt system. First of all, we would like to offer our sincere condolences about the lives lost as a result of that treacherous attack.

We have also familiarized ourselves with the Büro's press releases (#1, #2) and with the public statement of the Rheinland Government regarding this situation. Although we realize that the situation is still far from over, we can only commend Rheinland's level-headed approach to it, especially considering the scale and potential implications.

That brings me to the point of my message. The SIS believe that the information collected in Sigma-13 a month prior to the attack on Fulda could be relevant for the investigation. I've been authorized to grant you access to that particular piece of intelligence from our archives. I assume that your own archives may have a more detailed report regarding the same incident:

A message was recieved today while I was on a deep patrol to relieve Agents Jenkins and Skirka in the Omega-55 system. A BDM agent required gunboat support in the system of Sigma-13. A surprise Nomad assault had caught the Rheinland security forces off guard and they were struggling to secure the area around the Frankfurt Jump gate in Sigma-13.

I did divert from my intended route to ensure that the BDM would, hopefully, have a somewhat positive impression of us. After being escorted through Dresden and Frankfurt by BDM agents, I arrived to find a hellish battle raging around Helgoland Station. The Nomad ships moved like water, and were very difficult to hit, nevertheless, with the assistance of one Agent 'Lichthammer' all Nomad ships were destroyed.

I have since returned to Freeport-5 and will relieve our two agents in Omega-55 tomorrow. I hope my actions will not reflect badly on the SIS, and as a courtesy to the BDM, no images were taken.

Transmission Terminated

As you can see, the Fulda tragedy is the second incident that happened in that part of the sector in less than a month. We believe that there could be a connection between the Nomads showing interest to a particular area and an unprovoked attack on an installation in the same area taking place shortly afterwards.

Should you need any assistance in matters regarding the crisis in the Frankfurt system, we would be more than willing to provide it.

Julian Grayson
