Owner's or organization's affiliation and a brief description of the owner's or the organization's activities: Deep Space Engineers =DSE- are former employees who were severed from DSE). It is our intent to return Baltimore Shipyard, the works on Planet Pittsburg etc to full production. DSE) have allowed the shipyards and factories to go idle, and their contract with Ageira is all but finished. We will be the new Deep Space Engineering and will supplant DSE) in time. To be effective we must make substantial profits by establishing contracts with approved clients. Our break came when we bought a license to supply an endless amount of premier scrap metals to a shipyard. We are also pursuing our core business working with Ageira to build tradelanes and Jumpgates as before.

We need a Base Ops (base of operations) as close to the source as we can possibly get. The need to cut maintenance and transportation costs will be vital for =DSE- to succeed. Veltman Smelter is very important to our success.

System and Coordinates of Base (or you may send these privately): Texas 6-10k from the active field 3C is most preferable, but will comply with what is permissible.

Reason(s) for Construction: We have just landed a massive contract to supply unlimited amounts of premium scrap to a valued customer. As a fledgling company we need to grow and expand. Cutting costs is most important at this time so a Base Ops close to the source is most desireable.

Evidence of allowing docking rights to Liberty Forces (tags: LPI- , [LN] , =LSF= , 5th|) (if the base is already constructed): • Attachment We are allied to LPI, LSF, LN and associated lawful forces. All will have full unrestricted access to "Base Ops".
Additional Notes, Comments, Questions or Requests: The base we wish to establish is not intended to be a permanent structure. We have neither the funds, nor the need to establish this beyond a Core 1, perhaps a Core 2 facility. It will be utilitarian, spartan, functional. Once =DSE- becomes established as the successor to DSE) we will be probably locating our HQ back into New York, possibly close to Baltimore Shipyards. We expect this operation to take two to three months and prefer to make full payment for the three months in advance.

The attention of William Hawthorne

Good day Mr Hawthorne. As agreed Veltman Smelter has been dismantled and the salvageable equipment, resources and supplies are now in storage on Scrap Palace. I have issued a press release explaining things. We are now ready to discuss and decide with the Dept of Trade and Economics where to put the smelter into operation.

It was an enormous success, with over a dozen franchised miners working furiously in trying conditions. Collectively, =DSE- franchisees managed to mine and smelter over 100,000 units of scrap each on average, with a resulting profit of over 12 Billion credits. This is understated as we know much, much more was sold directly to passing haulers.

-DSE- is still to decide where to re-erect the smelter. We are working on a lightweight prototype shell that is extraordinarily cheap but is not as durable. These are designed as semi-disposable kit sets that tolerate intense radiation very well but are able to be stripped of its contents within hours and put into a fresh shell. Drawbacks are less protection and less ability to add improvements, but cost savings are worth it. We will keep you informed, Mr Hawthorne and get back as soon as possible.
