So I took a Wild mission out in Sigma-13, and the fellow I'm supposed to be gunning down opens up on me. Two volleys and I'm deep into hull.

So I scan and this is what I see.

Can... can I have a couple? Pretty please?

PS: I eventually won. That thing would have been able to eat an SN and smile at you.

How did those get there?

Edited screenshot or I am amazed and somewhat envious.

I bet they don't drop their guns when killed.

Same like those Guardian Photon Blasters from Eagles in Tau 44.

I know it takes a while to collect them, but when you're out fishing for Nommies and you get gunboats, you possibly can get one dropped. I've picked them up before out there, although I'm not sure it was the same gun - I get the cannons all the time.

If you go after the Nomad Gunboats, I believe the bigger Nomads ships as well, they'll drop the Blasters. I'm not sure if the damage output is the same though. Those look buffed.

There are some guns that are NPC specific, for example you might see NPCs sporting DEFILER codename that is actually only shield buster code, but its not avalible anywhere in sirius.

Similarly to that, sometimes guns mounted by npcs are not same ones you will get them to drop.

Nomad blasters also tend to drop on lesser rate than cannons, but they will drop eventually. Also, they are not so powerfull as ones carried by Wilde or nomad npcs.

Difference between classic nomad cannon and rarer nomad blaster is their refire rate. While nomad cannon fires somewhat more damage, but at refire 3.03 nomad blaster fires a bit less damage at refire 4.0

Any more questions?

Cannon: slightly less damage, 3.03.
Blaster: slightly more damage, 4.00.

I think those NPCs stole some of Hoodlum's hardware.
