Hello fellow ladies and gentlemen of our esteemed Merchant Navy.

This is my formal notice of absence to Lord Hamilton. I am making this public so that others, in particular my bomber unit, are also aware.
Due to some developments internally within my family I shall be taking a holiday of approximately Four Weeks to be with them in their time of need.
I realize the timing is not the greatest due to 'Operation: Strip Mine'. However I have always held that family comes first, without them a man is but a husk.
I will still be available to communicate with for emergencies.
In my absence I would like to request that Lord Hamilton place Senior Flight Officer, Marcus Boone as Acting Sub-Commander of the Bomber escort unit until my return. I believe the experience will do him good.
