History

Synth Foods, Incorporated began in 558 A.S. when several biotech scientists in California began to work on a solution to the growing problem of planetary agriculture. After several years, they finally unveiled a genetically engineered crop that only required 20% of the water any other crop on Los Angeles would need. The plant was not edible in its native form, however, so the scientists invented enzymes that could break the plant down to a digestible level, while also allowing for the possibility to flavor it in one of many ways. Synth Paste™, as it comes to be known, becomes one of the most popular foods in the Sirius sector, and to capitalize on these gains, NutraForm, Inc. was founded.
In 620 A.S., NutraForm, Inc. created their first orbital biodome, a structure built onto a station that was a self-contained food production facility. It became immensely popular with the growing frontier, and before long, most if not all stations had at least one NutraForm biodome on them.
Today, Synth Foods is a sprawling megacorporation, rivaling the reach of companies such as Interspace Commerce. It has a hold on the food market of Sirius to an astounding level, its only main competitor being Samura Heavy Industries in Kusari, known for their Kyushu Rice product.

Current state

In 825 A.S, Synth Foods Incorporated got a new CEO called Andre Hamilton, who continued the operations in the House of Kusari to achieve the last food monopoly position and push Samura away from the market. Major goals are to eliminate the Landwirdrechtbewegung and Farmer Alliances that are actively attacking Synth Foods Incorporated transports and personal and building more Biodomes in Liberty, Bretonia, Rheinland and Kusari.

Corporate Structure

Chief Executive Officer - As the leader of Synth Foods, Incorporated., the Chief Executive Officer has the final say on any decision within the company, and is in complete control of every facet of it.
Chief of Logistics - A long-serving member of the Logistics Department, the Chief of Logistics is responsible for working with the Logistics Department to properly complete the quotas assigned by the Board and achieve the required profit margins.
Chief of Security - Typically an experienced pilot from the Security Department, the Chief of Security is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Security Department.
Captain - Having shown dedication and loyalty to the company, these members are permitted access to all trade vessels and may trade through Restricted systems with permission from the Chief of Logistics.
Officer - Officers are higher-ups in the Security department that may pilot standard combat ships and 'leased' combat vessels and escort in restricted zones.
Trainee - As a newly contracted member, he or she must prove they are a good fit for the company, and after three weeks may choose a department to join.

Owned Stations

Riverside Station



Originally built prior to the Nomad war, Riverside station was destroyed during the Battle of Mojave between loyalist Liberty Navy forces and Nomad infested Liberty Navy pilots in early 801 A.S. It remained as a twisted heap of broken debris and scrap metal that the Junkers occasionally salvaged from to recycle for many years, until finally after many complaints from shipping companies the Liberty Police agreed to clean it up. The attacks on the California trade routes by the Liberty Rogues had increased tremendously, with little to no police presence around the planet Mojave, and it was decided to rebuild Riverside Station. In 815 A.S. the station was declared operational once more and the presence of Riverside has helped to reassure shipping passing through California.
However, the LPI found that maintaining the station purely as a police outpost was rather costly. As early as 816 A.S., the LPI sent out feelers to various corporations, to see if a joint administration of the station were possible. In late 819 A.S., Synth Foods purchased a majority share in the station, essentially taking over all operations except for a few docking facilities the LPI still makes use of. As a result, activity in and around the station has increased significantly. Synth Foods intends to expand the station into a research base and processing facility, where it can develop and produce new products in relative safety.

Supply Station Neckar



Supply Station Neckar is a newly constructed station placed in the orbit of the sole satellite Planet Stuttgart, Aalen. With the bustle and activity of Stuttgart, Synth Foods Incorporated deployed Neckar to allow for greater sums of farming materials to be imported to the Systems, as well as a hub for exporting food to their destinations.
