As I sit here on my college campus, this idea strikes me. Creating a union. Don't get this confused with Factions and the faction named Unioners. the idea is that there is no permanent leader (probably voted on every month (or terms of of set weeks.months)
Unions would use suffixes, example: "Playername-L82". Indipendents and players aligned with factions could join a union to recieve certain benifits (outlined by the type of union) eg: trader's union would be used for indi's and factioned traders. much like the offical unions it would use a Alpha-numeric suffix tag which would be assigned to the union. example: Naval Union - Local 03 (L103). L of course is Local, 1 designates the region/house (1-liberty, 2-bretonia, 3-kusari, 4-Rhiendland, 5-corsairs, 6-outcasts, 7-pirates (generic), 7-Junkers) the last 2 digits is the order in which the union is formed.

so what do you think? help me build on this.
It's an interesting concept, but what hard benefits do you expect to provide to union members?

same as Zapp, i think its great but you need to add something to make it more interesting/useful.
i didn't quite get how players would benefit from something like that. How is it better than standard player factions? (than than the "no permanent leader" or "democracy rule")
