Well when i was searching for a suitable anime picture for Carla.Jones i stumbled on this http://www.yachigusaryu.com/blog/labels/Th...ial%20Arts.html

Its a Kendo robot! i thought it was pretty cool even tho it sorta sucked at fighting lol

Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.

You can always trust the Japanese to make sword-wielding robots, eh? ;)

Cool concept. Doesn't seem to be good for much but practicing your strikes (and would be damn expensive to use for that), but you gotta admit it's a cool way to train.

I want to see a video of it with a real sword set loose in a shopping complex.

By the look of the video it's not advanced enough for massive carnage.

Nah, seems as though it's pretty much capable of going through the basic strikes, and probably at least some of the kata. Doesn't seem advanced enough to do much on its own.

lol probably

Asians sure love there anime and cool robots dont they? why dont they make bloodly battle walkers while they are at it? oh wait thats war mongering but it would still be cool to see.

Id would however like to see a robot that can play basketball

Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.

It looked like that was a Korean-built robot.

Yup, it's Korean.

The video shows the robot doing kata (4th), and then some kirikaeshi (your bread and butter warm up exercise). Just for the kirikaeshi, that thing would be awesome (if it could keep up with full speed)
