Paid Custom Restarts?

Had a small idea. If restart commands can detect how much cash a ship has and not work, perhaps the opposite is possible? I'm wondering if it could perhaps be possible to have customisable restarts so that people can quickly create ships of certain types in specific locations. Something like /restart [restart name] [ship] [base].

For example:
/restart fcCore dsy_ccrv Dagger

In this example, a Core ID'd Core "Thresher" Cruiser is created and docked on Dagger Outpost. Bases with similar names could have distinctions in their syntax. This command would only work provided the ship using the command has cash required to the buy the Thresher ship package.

I hope it's not too convoluted. Thoughts?

Restarts currently work by doing ship asset value checks. If you're lower than a certain amount, the system deletes your ship file, loads in a template (the template matching the restart name you've chosen), and replaces the templates ship name with the shipname you had previously.

This sort of project is definitely feasible. I'm not sure if it'd be wise to use the command syntax that you suggested, but sure. The restart system is in a state where it could be upgraded. It'd be up to the devs for implementation.

Oh plz, if possible, make it happen.

For Mining/trading factions that would be wonderful. Way easier to set miners and transports to newcomers.

Yeah I think that check is there to stop people who have valuable characters /restarting and loosing everything accidentally. But this should totally be doable.

If the check is bound to /restart command, then a separate command like /customrestart can be created to ignore the values and substract money?

If you could add /setoutfit <Corpname> those who would like to start from the ground up yet would like to have this particular immersion element cause if you start as a freelancer or civilian the only thing you can't really get is the outfit. Everything else you could get starting from scratch. It may sound like nothing but for those who crave immersion and like progression from zero this is kind of a bummer not being able to get the faction outfit.

I agree with the idea of adding ship option or at least start with a light fighter of the faction the cheapest one so the player can at least start as an escort. The current /restart system is a bit frustrating for those who want smooth progression from zero.

So I went ahead and made this. However, I am looking to enlist the assistance of some individuals to help me create ship entries for it. I don't quite fancy spending all day making ship entries for every single faction and every single ship. If anyone is willing to lend a hand I would be most appreciative. It will just consist of running through FLStat and copying the contents into a config file for me.

I also did change the syntax, because that syntax up there is horrible.

I'll ping you. If it isn't anything too absurd for someone with coding experience but zero in FL coding, I'll be down to help.
